Elterwater Hostel
Really nice stay in Lake District. The hostel has everything you’ll need - they’ll prepare all meals should you like, have bike storage, drying room (my clothes and shoes absolutely soaked and dry by morning), full kitchen free to use, alcohol, games.Close to a great riverside walk with great waterfall.Friendly staff that are helpful. :)

Great hostel accommodation. Elterwater is always clean, comfortable, warm and welcoming.We book the whole hostel for a group visit and everyone appreciates the effort of the team in preparing it and making us welcome.

This place is a lovely stay. Wonderful staff and they serve good breakfast en dinner, especially looking at the price. I think that is special for a hostel.

First visit with my family and enjoyed it as much as last time I visited with a friend. Without doubt the most friendly Hostel I’ve been to and the breakfast was superb. Already booked again for a break next summer and I really couldn’t recommend the place any higher. It’s like home from home.

This place is such a gem! I stumbled upon it on a walk and am so glad I found it! Charlie and crew were extremely welcoming, making sure I had everything I needed and checking in on me before and after I headed out for a day's walk. The room was painted a really cozy colour, and the bathroom was super clean. It's located in a tiny little village with a great pub and access to footpaths from practically the front door. This made my stay in the Lake District and I would definitely go back.

The perfect hostel. Old building with character, located in a quiet spot in a beautiful little village, spotlessly clean, good shared facilities, and all run by a super friendly, relaxed, and knowledgeable team.

Wonderful hostel in a charming old brick cottage. Very quaint and a bit off the beaten track so not too close to the touristy areas. Lovely management and fantastic breakfast for a reasonable price. Comfortable beds and everything was clean.

A beautifully quiet place to stay and take a breath on your travels. Felt more like a home than a hostel. Andy and Charlie were full of local tips and adventure ideas. Genuine people with big hearts welcoming you into their corner of the world. One of the best places I've stayed in England. I'm bringing all my friends and family back!!

Elterwater Hostel
We had a fabulous weekend stay here. The hostel is the perfect size for a group of 20-30. Lots of room to relax and eat and not too far from some local pubs where I'm told that the food is great. Really friendly managers and a lovely home cooked evening meal at a reasonable price. We also loved the selection of games and the views from the front. Highly recommend.
