Thank you to the amazing staff at the Hop. We had a wonderful Sunday lunch to celebrate a 50th birthday and the hop happily organised lunch for 24 people on top of their normal service. Everyone had a lovely meal served quickly and efficiently. I would definitely recommend Sunday lunch much here whether it’s for two or 30. Everything was excellent

Great beer selection. Interior needs a bit of love. The wooden seats are uncomfortable and it lacks that cosy pub feel you want in the winter.

Great choice of beers and very friendly staff. Its a favourite friendly chilled meeting place for me with a great garden that they have made a fantastic effort on with hanging baskets and various flowers etc. The food is also first class and highly recommended. Love love love it

Bought several pints, one of which obviously flat/dead with no head.When I asked to top with head or change glass, simply was told “it’s over the pint line so it’s ok”….Response (can’t seem to reply to your message):Bought several “Freedom beers”. Others were fine but one was undeniably dead (and verified by other guests). Regrettably in this case, is was the attitude and response (why would the pint line in this case be a factor?) which was questionable.Reality is the concern raised was outside of how much was poured in the glass, telling me “all pints are different”. Given it was poured from the same tap is somewhat, amateur, from a barman who should attempt basic consistency.

Excellent beers and outstanding service. The Toffee Stout is a class above the rest. One of the best I’ve had. Relaxing atmosphere.

After visiting the pub for 3 Wed lunchtimes, it is perfect for the social group I facilitate for DASH. The guys really like the atmosphere and beer at the pub. Most of us have ordered food, which was very good. The staff are most helpful. We are all so glad to meet up there fortnightly now.

A fantastic bar with a good draft beer selection, as well as some delicious food. You can't beat a brilliantly done roast dinner! Very keen to return.
