The door is a bit stiff have to give it a really good shove. The place is kept clean. It is amazing and very peaceful.

As a bit of a graveyard history buff I loved this church. It was open and lovely on the inside with stories to tell. The church of choice for the Queen Mother when she was at Mey..it has fascinating little stories all over the place as well as showing the history of the landscape it is set in. The final resting place of Jan De Groot his tombstone is now inside the church. Other interesting headstones are littered throughout the graveyard including that of Lady Fanny who threw herself of the tower at Castle Mey after an ill fated love affair with a groom.

Beautiful church with a very interesting surrounding graveyard full of fantastic headstones. 16th century graveslab inside church is well worth a look and has had its inscription transcribed and translated. I was so lucky to find this little gem as I nearly passed it by on my travels. Church has connections with the royal lizard family as iirc the Queen mother used to go to service there when she stayed nearby.
