A girl from the hostel approached claiming to be the manager. He asked us to leave within 15 minutes so that we could be calm while having a beer in the kitchen without generating any type of disturbance. The girl told us that we should have been notified that we could not drink alcohol but at check-in they never made it clear to us and in the kitchen there is no sign that says about this prohibition. All this happened on a Saturday at 11 pm. We were left on the street and had to go to a lousy and much more expensive hostel due to the urgency. Not only did we lose the money for the last night at the hostel but we also had to pay for the new accommodation.I find it very hypocritical of a hostel that encourages the consumption of alcoholic beverages in its advertisements (photo attached).I have traveled to many hostels in different locations and have never had a problem like this

The location was not great for tourism, its about 30 minutes by train to get to the popular spots, but the train is easily accessible. The place is a bit run down and dingy but not entirely unlivable. The streets reek of human feces and there was garbage piled up outside that made seagulls squeak loudly outside our window in the morning. The lockers are small but there are lockers nonetheless. Wouldn’t stay here again but it was cheap for young people to stay.

The hostel was a disaster, they didn't let my partner in, when I already had a reservation and paid in advance, but for arriving at dawn, when it is something to be expected due to flights and delays, they don't even give you the option to leave your suitcases. The receptionist has the worst service, he doesn't even empathize with someone who arrives from a 20-hour trip.

The overall experience of the hostel was good. We had taken a 4 bed shared dorm and the room mates were alright. What I liked about the hostel was the cleanliness in the bathrooms and the bed. The only drag was that maybe if they can refurbish it from the outside!

Terrible experience. It is the worst hostel I have been to. Everything was dirty and super old. It seems like the setting location of a horror movie. The neighborhood is super sketchy as the people who were in the hostel. We had 2 reservations and they give us only one key without explaining us why. The stuff seems to not know anything about the hostel and unable to give us information since the first time we got in they didn’t even tell us where our room was. The price was quite cheap for London, but definitely not worth it.

This hostel was functional. Nothing more, nothing less. I wouldn’t recommend it or stay there again, but I did feel safe. Location isn’t very convenient, but that’s transparent. Dollis Hill tube station is a 6 minute walk away. That’s where the good things seem to stop. When I arrived to check in, the receptionist tried to charge me £128 when my Hostelworld confirmation said I should only be charged £64. I pointed this out and they did charge me correctly. The entire building is old and a bit dingy which is fine, but the bathrooms seemed unclean and towel hooks were broken. The hand soap was clearly watered down. I was never able to actually access the wifi. The checkout policy was strange, with the website, posting in rooms and hallways, and postings at reception each listing a different checkout time. The quiet hours policy is not enforced in any way, with belligerent drunk people yelling in the halls until 1AM (and the walls are thin enough to hear even a conversational volume, so you can imagine this would make sleep difficult). While I didn’t expect top tier customer service, new facilities, or a super restful weekend when staying at a budget hostel, this was a considerably worse experience than other hostels I’ve stayed at.

I stayed in a private room, so I cannot comment on the conditions people found in the dorms. However, for a solo traveler, I found the room to be great for the price. It was old, but kept very clean. The bed was also incredibly comfortable. It's not in the city center, but since I would to use the tube to visit attractions anyway, riding an extra few stops isn't a big deal. Lots of cheap restaurants around too.

After travelling Europe for many months and then arriving in the UK I have yet to experience such a disappointment as this. I ended up leaving early. The hostel was disgusting with stains on the walls and peeling paint. Exposed wiring on the ceiling and missing smoke detectors.I love to save a couple bucks by sacrificing my comfort rather often but this was just too far. I felt genuinely unsafe as the building was filled with sketchy characters and weirdos roamed the street.Went to a pub in the area and met some lovely folks who warned me to get out of there whenever possible.Beds were uncomfortable and mattresses obviously very old. Didn’t have a secure place to lock my bag up either. There was one bathroom available to all the rooms at the time of my stay Meaning two toilets.I knew the location wouldn’t be great as it’s a ways out if London but the area is just sketchy as a whole for a tourist. For those looking to book here I urge you to avoid it. It may be affordable but it isn’t worth it.Only positive thing of note is that the staff were lovely and friendly.

Not that bad. I and 2 other guys stayed here for 3 nights in June. The price is pretty unbeatable, especially on their website. BRING CASH £££ to pay for the stay and £20 key deposit. It’s not the nicest place and probably not a place I would bring my girlfriend, but I think the price point is really good. It is also easy to get to from the Jubilee line. It’s 5 min from Wembley Stadium, but at least 30 min from most attractions in london. The hostel is not in the nicest part of town, but I always felt safe. This place has minimal service, so you have to bring all the things you need yourself (towel, shower shoes, soap, your own lock for the lockers, your own food, etc). The wifi is pretty bad too, so have a data plan. If you are prepared, it is not a bad stay. We didn’t hang out with the other guests, but they kept themselves or seemed like decent people that wouldn’t touch your stuff.I do suggest checking with the desk if something seems off. The first night, they gave us 4 beds at first. But they corrected that once we asked. They also accidentally checked us out a day early, they also fixed this once we asked.
