Good - Lovely rural setting, set on a working farm so plenty of sheep, cows and chickens. The owner was very accommodating and had a long chat with my partner.Lots of little villages nearby for evening meals and a drink but nothing in Killdale itself. We stayed in our small campervan next to the barn which was pretty level. The showers were a cost of £1.00 which gives 15 minutes which we found to be okay.Bad - the lack of privacy in the toilets was a bit off putting and washing your pots in the toliets/ shower room was not ideal, also only one sink.Would be better if washing facilities were moved outside and full toilet doors fitted would be a good idea.Okay for £10 per person per night but could be expensive if you were a family of four.

Good place to pitch up if you're hiking in the area. Had access to running water, toilets, sink, shower (even a tumble dryer).Pretty much all we could ask for, and really friendly owners.Would highly recommend it to anyone!

A nice clean and pleasant siteUnfortunately for us and the proprietor we arrived amid a little chaos due to there being a problem with the showers especially as it has been both the hottest driest spell for many many years and a nice shower would most definitely have been welcome after our drive. But to there credit they battled on well into the evening to find a solution to finally get at least one shower up and running for the night. We spent two nights at the site which had some beautiful views our stay was pleasant all be a little straining due to the weather and shower situation but we would recommend and more than likely return to the site for another stay.

Basic facilities, but very welcome as there are not many other options! Good value, £8 for a single backpacker tent pitch. Host was accomodating and friendly. Very nice location, can see all the way back to Wainstones and more, so there is a feeling of accomplishment.

Good. Clean facilities and great views down the vale. Good location near to the Cleveland Way. I visited as a cyclotourer and would've given five stars but lost one due to lack of signposting from the main road and unstable rocky surface of access road - not a problem on a mountain bike, though on a steel framed tourer with camping gear, it was challenging!!! Reasonable pitch fees, would certainly visit again.

The views are lovely. The facilities are quite basic, but this is reflected in the price. Gently sloping grass pitches. Vehicle access is along a rough track. Nearest shop Great Ayton about 5 miles. Nearest pub Ingleby Greenhow about 3 miles. Station at Kildale. Lovely area. Authentic camping a la ferme.

Beautiful place, we have been there in June. We were glad that we found this place after a long hot day cycling. We were the only campers, it was really silent and piecefull. Facilities: basic but fine! We could buy eggs and beans. And there was a washing line for drying our cycling cloth. It was our best camping this holiday. We liked it very much!

Beautiful location, views and friendly hosts.Whole site is sloping so as long as you don't mind that you'll be ok.Showers were clean but intermittent, £1 coin for 6 minutes.

We stayed here whilst walking the Cleveland Way, it’s just off route. little campsite and camping barn and hiker friendly. Couple of showers, pot wash. There is also a cloths dryer cost £1. There is also a kettle and microwave. We also charged phones up, but make sure you do not unplug the fridge. The site also has access to larger tents and camper vans. There are two fields and some picnic benches which are so nice to sort your self out when in a small tent.David and Carol very friendly and helpful. There is no shop in the campsite, it’s a working farm also no shop in Kildale village but a train station, not many trains and no buses.Nice views from campsite.
