This is such a friendly, community-focused centre! The staff here are patient and informative with everyone, despite the stress of all works going on currently. I love Laura's yoga classes, Sally on reception has great vibes, and Sevin has kept me updated re the roof which has been helpful in managing my own expectations. Great work team Leytonstone!

I recently had the misfortune of visiting this place, and let me tell you, it was an experience I'd rather forget...The lifeguards must have been secretly auditioning for the next Olympics because they seemed determined to break the world record for the most stern and uninterested facial expressions. And don't you dare think about asking for help or guidance. These lifeguards have a zero-tolerance policy for common courtesy. I attempted to seek their assistance once, and their response was colder than the water they were supposedly guarding. Don't expect much assistance or a smile, as their customer service skills could definitely use some improvement. Now, let's talk about the pool's aesthetic appeal. If you're into swimming alongside an exciting array of floating objects, this place is a paradise for you! And let's not forget about the lovely assortment of floating debris that graced the pool's surface. I've seen cleaner water in a muddy puddle after a heavy rainstorm. If you're in the mood for a freezing swim in a pool that doubles as a biohazard zone, while being serenaded by lifeguards who've mastered the art of nonchalance, then this leisure center is the place for you. But if you value your hygiene, your comfort, and your sanity, I suggest you run as fast as you can in the opposite direction.

Shame there’s no zero star. Worse experience I’ve had in a gym in my life and I’ve worked in gyms for 15 years. Spin instructor on Sunday didn’t ask about injuries, was mostly looking at the floor, music louder than central line and no mic. Called me sweetie which I find inappropriate and unprofessional, nothing justifies a bad attitude towards a paying customer. Bikes were filthy and badly maintained. I’m in disbelief about the poor service. Never to be repeated.

I’ve been using this leisure centre for some time now and have always had a really positive experience, the centre has really improved over the period I’ve used it, especially in regard to their cleaning standards and with the help of their new little machine wizzing around! The staff are always prompt to help and answer any queries in regards to the classes on offer and general queries. The staff are very friendly and professional and I will be continuing to use the leisure centre!

I have been going to Leytonstone Better gym for a few months now and I really recommend their fitness classes. So far I have tried classes with Gul, Chris, Pauline and Trisha, they are all excellent coaches and their classes are great.

A great facility: low cost, friendly staff and I’ve always found it clean and tidy. It’s hard to believe all the negative reviews. I’ve been coming for years, and have used both adult and children’s swimming pools, and the soft play. The kids pool has toys for them to play with. There are clean seating areas in a couple of places which are great for feeding baby. Great to have in the community

-The design of the ladies changing room is appalling,I don't know who was the architect of this leisure centre. Pillar slapped in the middle-of-the- changing room entrance to the lockers, if you are skinny you can get through if your not you have to gonin side ways.-Lockers are broken / no keys-The pool steps is filthy, you must wear flip-flops-Shower wall is grime-Swimwear dryer is broken-pool water so cold other leisure centre branches have warm water in the pool-the female staffs are very rude and have it in for the Asian people speaking to them with a horrible attitude, whereas they will speak to their own race nicely.-You have tiny limited space of swimming ridiculously tiny-Special treatment given to white people there if they want to use the sauna without paying but if an Asian person went in there, obviously it was their first time not knowing you have to book these you will get kicked out by the staff. The evening staff really need to be sacked and new friendly happy" less depressing and racists female staff should not be employed. Puts the whole reputation of this particular leisure centre down!!!!"

Been using this gym for 9 months, what you'd expect from a Leisure Centre. I've used a few Better Gyms and this is not the worst. Half decent equipment and machines and a generous floor space. Obviously very busy during peak times and the weights are usually a mess. 90% of the gym users don't re-rack their weights and I've never seen a staff member try to either.

A note to the female, large, white attendant at reception this evening, 14th Sept. Declaring you are in a bad mood does not give you permission to be hostile to customers. Whatever is wrong in your life, it won’t be improved by trying to make people feel like something you’ve stepped in while they interact with you. This has not been the first negative interaction I’ve had with you and I’m also not the first person on this page to complain about it. Get a job which doesn’t involve public interaction - because you definitely are unsuitable for it - and maybe your mood will improve.

Disgusting! It’s dirty, run down and gross! The swimming pool is FREEZING and dirty. The changing rooms for swimming are mixed but the majority of cubicles don’t have working locks on the doors. UPDATE: I’ve since had a “reply” on my review. Are you going to reply to every single review with the same issues of cleanliness and pool temperature and basically call them liars? Are we all wrong ?
