Brighton & Hove Streamline Taxis - 202020

Arranged to pick a young child up from school at 3.30pm. No text message received to say arrived. Called three times asking where they were. Was told by operator 3 times driver is on the same road

Ordered taxi the night before to get me to a 9am train (booked taxi for 8:20am). Explained that I had a train to catch. By 9am Taxi still had not showed up. I was told that they were busy and told to wait. Missed my train. Terrible service, would not recommend.

Absolutely disgusted! I have used this company regularly and as a disabled person rely on ton taxis.I use a walker, not a wheelchair. However this evening, after a lovely day at the cricket I ordered a taxi home, was told it would be 5 minutes. Rang after 15 minutes and was told that 3 drivers had refused the job.Why? I have never been any trouble and always give a (very) generous tip. When I eventually called a different company after a half hour wait I saw 3 streamline taxis waiting at hove Town Hall doing absolutely nothing.They are obviously doing very well for themselves if they can turn down a tenner for a 15 minute job.In fact, I would say it's discrimination and very possibly against the law!I'm disgusted

This is a difficult one. I used to use the app, press the button and as by magic the taxi appears. Nowadays, I do find they are not always truthful with the ETA. Could rate the drivers from 0 to 5. Before you book you have to check if the driver takes cards. Some are very reluctant for any payments apart from cash and or their card reader broken. Hope they can get back to be the best in Brighton and Hove again. And let the driver to call the office to do a card transaction over the phone if the PDQ in the taxi is faultyth

Abysmal service, or rather no service at all, I called for a state car/people carrier, I got promised 20 mins, in half an hour a five-seater turned up, with its booth half full, called for another one, it didn't turn up in 50 mins, I called Radiocabs who did the job swiftly and with no issues. Avoid this company like the plague, especially if it's work related/time sensitive.

I booked this taxi service first time, and I am very impressed. The driver was punctual, kind and very helpful. Plus he was a good company too, we were chatting easily. Arrived at the station quickly and on time. Taxi fare was fair, I would choose them again in future.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Not only has this company left a vulnerable 95 year old man in my shop for an hour and a half claiming its 2 mins away every time we phoned up. When I phoned up and spoke to the “manager” Ramo, he spoke to me very rudely telling me to shut my mouth and hung up on me. This is not acceptable! I suggest for people to avoid this taxi company. I eventually had to find another mode of transport for this man.

I’ve used this taxi firm twice in the last three weeks for airport pick-ups. On both occasions the drivers were Not waiting in arrivals, as arranged! Even though the pick-ups were pre-paid, the drivers had the arrival times and the flight numbers they still were ready and waiting in arrivals! On both occasions the travellers had to wait for half an hour for the pre-arranged taxi. Very disappointing service.

It’s like nobody here has heard of The Taxis and Private Hire Vehicles (Disabled Persons) Act 2022.I had to report yet another hate crime perpetrated by a yet another taxi driver.It’s a shame because some drivers are salt if the earth… the rest put shame on the industry. More than this; they are harmful.Like cab driver MEHRDAD, plate VK18 DWD, ID p535. I asked him to put my folding wheelchair in the footwell as prev cab drives have broken several parts of my chair, throwing it in the boot unsecured. Other cab drivers just slip the passenger seat forwards. With plenty of room. MEHRDAD refused saying it not allowed. Except It is, cabdrivers have a legal duty to make adjustments according to needs. They are not allowed to refuse a fair for disabled people or face £1000 fine. Many cab drivers have no issue with accommodations. MEHRDAD started to shout at me, that I didn’t know anything and he had training. Apparently. MEHRDAD then called my wheelchair a ‘pushchair’, while insisting he knows more about disability than me. He continued shouting at me, saying I don’t know anything, and he knows. He tried to push my wheelchair and take it apart instead of folding it. He insisted he knew what he was doing and I was wrong trying to tell him about my own chair. MEHRDAD then tried to say I was ‘scaring’ him… from my wheelchair, for insisting he was breaking the law, and my wheelchair! . This able overweight man tried to play the victim. This was outside a pub full of people witnessing, many of whom came out and told him he was wrong. I told him it’s an offence to refuse a fair for disabled people with a fine of £1000. He drove off then, came back and tried to get into the pub, shouting an insisting he would call the police… they told him to do that and he wasn’t allowed in the building. MEHRDAD then cancelled the trip.The next cabdriver was able to make the reasonable adjustments. We traveled without issues. … when I had an able bodied person to insist the law, because they don’t listen to wheelchair users here.The law changed in 2022. Update your training. Sack your hateful ableist drivers. It it takes a £1000 fine so be it. People who want to play the victim, especially very able overweight middle aged old men. Are scum. I hope everyone who treats people in wheelchairs like this, ends up in a wheelchair too. They seem to take it as some sort of offence, to say… try one day in my life… that says it all.

Good tracker and quick during quiet times. Lots around you can jump into.Easy to book and cancel.Issue with how they locate you.One taxi cancelled (missed call) so had to book another.Realised it might have been because the tracker said they were next to us but were probably on the other side of the road (four lane) in traffic even though we specified where we were (outside a hotel with a bay to park and safely get in). Ended up having to jump into the taxi in the middle of the road.
