Security very rude and not helpful as it was my 1st time on site! Thumbs down on this place.

Helpful weighbridge staff. Clean and tidy site. Plenty of space. 30 minute load. The loader even closed my doors on the container for me! !

Apart from the grumpy git at the gatehouse, not a bad place to unload. Nice bunch of guys and all tipping done inside.

Downton has the advantage .. for europe the trailers sit and wait all day...........

Not helpfull problem with ticket security won't contact a boss to see what problem is

If I could give this place 0 stars I would.Dependent what shift you get when you get there but there's only a few which are OK. As soon as a certain few recognize you they start...... The first thing they asked me this time was why did I come straight in after another one of your wagons.... I mean what difference does it make. Then the second thing I got told off for was because of my risk assessment I did on the wind level and how close we all were parked to each other I decided to not pull my curtains and do it where we were getting loaded as my unit was facing into the wind and not sideways on and there is nothing around me which was a potential risk of damage from an out of control curtain. This for me was the nail in the coffin I needed to be sure that they werent doing thing correctly.it definitely seems as there doing things out of spite it's shocking Iv witnessed them also speaking and treating foreign drivers with allot less respect and makes me very upset to witness other people getting treated so badly. I would highly recommend you steer clear of the mrf place at the very back sadly not nice staff there very bad attitude.the one guy said when I first started going there he doesn't care how long he takes to load as he's there for 12 hours so he couldn't give a sh** if drivers are there all 12 with him..... Another time the guy had two bales to put on I'd already been there 3 - 4 hours waiting and he said Iv got to go on my break and when I wanted to know further information regarding his imaginary break he kicked off and then another one came and started saying I was crying like a baby when all I was doing was shouting to get his attention. For then the other employee said he's not even due a break what's he doing and he shouted to his mate come on just get this guy out of here and done. That's not the attitude to have and in my eyes dam rite evil to treat people like that. I have no other problems anywhere else at all in the whole 10 years of been a hgv . There downtons employees and not part of upm. Apparently so they feel untouchable. Be warned.

Massive place. Good for local economy
