David Lloyd Worthing

Located approx 1 mile off A27 on west side of Worthing. Larger club than most and was busy but not uncomfortably so. Good sized indoor pool and outdoor pool open even at 7pm (after dark). Recommend flip flops as quite a walk on wet tiles from changing room to poolside. Didn't use gym or club room so cannot comment on them.

I love the club, I love that they look after it and you can see that they invest in the facilities. The staff are so friendly, Kirstin immediately put me at ease and offered so much support. I also had my first personal training session with Sarah G who really listened to my goals and plans and offered lots of really helpful advice. So happy I have re joined again - my little haven.

The refurb has made all the difference and they have at long last got the lighting right. Not too dark you can’t see what you’re doing but sufficiently low lit that you’re afforded some privacy and it delivers an atmosphere. The layout is 100% better and the text/workouts area is in a far more sensible location.The kit is top notch and as always the staff are the happy helpful crew they were before the changes.The only issue is that even at an off time it is quite busy. At peak times there’s just not enough kit/space for members.

Recently joined and it has been fantastic. I have had some free PT sessions which have been great and really helped me to feel comfortable on what equipment works for me in the gym. The kids have loved the swimming facilities and I am really pleased we have all joined. Great gym for families!

We are new to the area and wanted to join a gym. Having visited several gyms we have come to the conclusion that David Lloyd Worthing is a 5 star facility that we we are definitely joining!!

Not worth the money at all. I cancelled my membership within a week due to a number of issues and almost a month later am still awaiting my refund. Zero responses to emails, nobody answers the phone and they’re withholding my money.Gave it two stars as the outdoor pool is nice. But inside facilities are just OK when you consider how much you’re paying. It’s always far too busy and the gym is quite mediocre with a lack of equipment and is very dark.Issues I experienced in the first week: PT didn’t turn up to my appointment, food order in the cafe was messed up, generally a bit grubby/unclean environment.

Great friendly club. Great facilities, have joined with my 14 year old as we can train together. Really good gym space with lots of equipment. Love the pools and spa area.

We joined in June 2023. Apart from a lot of wrong information from the guy who sold us the membership which subsequently cost us a lot of extra money we also had a further problem. My husband injured his back badly in July. He saw a chiropractor and actually he has proper damage which we subsequently found out through Scans over the next 3 weeks. We have informed David Lloyd as soon as it happened and have been told to get a sick note. The chiropractor was on a long summer holiday and only managed to send us the sickness note beginning of August. My husband did not use the club from July until November but David Lloyd has only suspended the membership from the 1st of September as we only got hold of the sick note beginning of August. They refuse to accept the date the chiropractor said ( July ) and are saying the T&C‘s are that they only use the time the sick note is received and then it only works from the next month. This is unbelievable. What absolute terrible practice. 6 weeks payment for nothing despite telling the club immediately. David Lloyd has just lost a membership worth £270 a month. I can’t risk hurting myself and then not being able to stop payment. Due to his back he also couldn’t work so our income was reduced. To me this is money grabbing. Other issues - lots of small kids hogging equipment in the gym ( without parents or PT‘s ) and clearly no older than 7/8 ! And as mentioned false information regarding my sons age and cost so rather than paying just under £30 a month we now have to pay £79. Wrong information at the sign up! Train your staff and look after your members ! We didn’t make that injury up ! We have all the proof ! Lack of staff available in the gym can also cause a problem as people easily do things wrong with no one to ask so injury also likely to happen. No person to speak to I’m your club about anything! Book a call or live chat which takes ages ! It seems all money grabbing and saving cost !!! Super frustrated and angry !!
