Motor Matters

This is the first time I have used ‘Motor Matters’ and I was very impressed with the experience. From my first telephone call to Glen, I explained my problems and he said it was something they would be able to fix for me. I asked about a courtesy car and this was no problem, for which I was charged a nominal amount. On arrival, I realised that this was a well run garage and the people I spoke with were very friendly and polite. I received a telephone call when the work was completed. Upon arrival, Glen explained what they had done, it was itemized on the bill and I was pleasantly surprised at the overall cost. I would highly recommend ‘Motor Matters’ for a top quality service.

Always a great service, worked on numerous cars for us over the years, petrol, diesel and EV. Highly recommended!

Would 1000 NOT recommend this company, took my van to get fixed and was quoted £200-£230 to get my back lights fixed, fix a oil leak and fix a catch on my drivers side door, when I went to pick it up he said he hadn’t quoted me to fix my door so refused to do it, then he got one of he’s lads to disconnect my lights because I refused to pay £420. Also my van still has an oil leak which was supposed to have been fixed Absolutely a joke of company and very very rude and unprofessional. Avoid at all costs !!!!!!!

Motor Matters rescued me when my car broke down with a burst tyre literally around the corner from them. One of their mechanics saw me stranded in the layby and asked if I was ok and said that the garage he worked for would help. I decided to take up their offer and they could not do enough to get me out of my situation. They let me use their courtesy car to get home after being on the road for 5 hours and went to work on getting my car sorted. They sourced the correct tyre, had it delivered and fitted to my car within a couple of hours. Great service, very kind and professional. I would definitely use them again and have already recommended them to others. Great local business and one that cares for their customers.

Took my motorhome for MOT, which revealed a broken leaf spring. Work to repair carried out and for a not to bad a price. Friendly staff.

Realised our mot ran out today. Never used this garage before as not from around here. But they were recommended to us. The owner was really helpful and managed to squeeze us in when he knew the situation. Very thorough job done. Friendly staff and all very professional. Definately recommend.

A big thanks to Glen and Luke for sorting my adblue fault. Quick and efficient. Theh kindly gave me a courtesy car so I wouldn’t be without transport. Really appreciate them looking after me so much. Hopefully won’t need to see them again but I know where I’ll be going if I do! Massively recommend!

If I could give a zero rating, I would!MOT should have been no more than £40-60 and I ended up paying 6 times more than I usually do. Absolutely outrageous! A bunch of unnecessary costs were added on to a car which did not require any of those changes except an oil change. Do NOT do business with this company! They scam you out of your hard earned money for basically nothing! Any business is better than this one.
