To be honest, Lotus House is a fairly typical Chinese takeaway. Food is decent, quantity is good and service is brisk.

Wonderful selection of food and catered to a gluten free order with pleasure! Staff so happy to help advise on safe options. Food was delicious and hot!

Food is shocking didn’t get the right food. Ordered spring rolls they gave us prawn toast seaweed isn’t edible, beef isn’t edible, egg fried rice has no egg do not recommend eating here 0/10 overpriced as well.

We have been to the Lotus House on numerous occasions and its been decent. The last time we went it wasn't great, but we thought we'd give it another chance. WHAT A MISTAKE. The spring rolls were so greasy that the oil was running down our hands and the pastry wasn't cooked through properly. The deep fried king prawn balls were also drenched in oil and the prawns themselves were so over cooked they were like bullets.The Singapore chow mein had gone missing, just a smidge of chicken, no prawns, chilli or peppers - totally tasteless. To be fair the chicken and beef dishes we had were cooked ok, but slathered in a monosodium glutamate goo. The egg fried rice was dry, crusty and tasteless. All in all a disgraceful disaster that went in the bin. I also am sceptical in this Covid day and age of a takeaway that only takes cash. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I ordered this 'meal' last night, drove 10 minutes home and then attempted to eat it, so it was as good as it was ever going to be.

If I could give 0 I would. I went to this venue a few weeks back and had what I would describe as the worst dinner of my life. We had an array of dishes and all of them were just horrendous. Cold, wet, undercooked, no flavour and just generally disgusting.I called to complain and no refund was offered for my £35 order which I had to throw away. However, they did say I could get a free meal so they could make it up-to me. I believe in second chances so I called to give it another go about two weeks later. To my disgust I was told that they could only give me a portion of chips for free. A PORTION OF CHIPS. Obviously I was not happy about this so spoke to the manager and was simply told it was my fault and not theirs.Please please please do not eat at or recommend this restaurant to anybody that you know. I'm disgusted and will never be visiting again. They have stolen £35 of my money and couldn't even help.On top of the above they reply to my review calling me a liar. Another point showcasing their lack of accountability for their poor / disgusting service! If this does not put you off I don't know what will!

First, and last time! Ordered before it even opened via telephone and somehow they STILL managed to get it wrong. The only offer was they’d offer us the same item free next time! What is the point? Don’t waste your money!Response to reply -Well unfortunately this is England we live in, and a good proportion of the population speak English so you might want to work on that.You didn’t need to change the order, you already charged me and knew you should have provided the item as per your reaction on the telephone.And finally the item is no good free the next time around as there won’t be a next time.

Delicious! Wanted sweet and sour chicken with no batter which was happily done for us. Lovely flavour. Chow mein, lots of mushrooms and very tasty. Will definitely use this takeaway again. Clean inside and parking available
