The Bull Tavern
A simple down to earth boozer close to the trains in Woolwich. Star of the show is the dog who had defluffed the cuddly toy, evidence still on the floor waiting for the crime scene boys to turn up. Dog is still happy. Lovely people and great service. A good old east end boozer.

It's freezing and raining outside. I just went in to wait for my Uber for 5mn in the middle of the afternoon. Not even sitting. The waitress kicked me out because I wasn't gonna order a drink. Worst service I've ever seen. No wonder why they're almost empty.

Fantastic pub friendly staff welcoming huge area for a party. Great beer and Guinness wide range of spirits. Next to Woolwich Arsenal Train station.

The Bull Tavern labels itself as an Irish pub and has an Irish flag to show it but don't expect a warm Irish welcome in here. The pint I had was good to be fair but there was no real atmosphere or character to the place.

After flying from San Francisco to London, driving through the center of London, I ended up here. Why did I drive through London instead of taking the M25? Because, I’m an American (whose mum was British), and didn’t realize that London has more than one Vincent Road. Really, there are at least 3 Vincent Rods in the greater London area. But that’s another story. After getting the family settled in at the rental, walked around and found The Bull. I went in for a pint of a beer I can’t remember, found an open table in a corner, had a few sips of beer... and promptly fell asleep. The lady behind the bar came over, woke me up, and informed me that I had to leave. If a patron appears intoxicated, they must leave the the establishment. Half a pint of weak British beer certainly is enough to get my 6’4” American frame drunk, but she was very professional, and quite polite, and rules are rules, I suppose. I would recommend this pub and looking forward to being tossed out for being drunk.Very drunk.PS can someone explain this sign to me?
