Stanton Automatic Gearboxes

Very helpful advice over the phone prior to making an appointment. When I did leave the car with them, they spent a lot of time doing investigative diagnostics, discovering the fault was electrical which was outside their remit. They then advised on who to approach regarding this specific issue. Although having spent some considerable time tracing the fault, they refused payment as they felt that they had not been able to rectify the problem. Exceptional service and integrity for this day and ago - would not hesitate to recommend them.

I had a great experience! My gearbox seems really happy after the fluid change. I was reasonably quoted and it was followed through. I'm sure I'd come back in case of any problems.

Once again Barry at Stanton Automatics in Tonbridge has extended the life of my wife's late fathers 20 year old CRV enabling her to do her weekly trips from Hastings to Tonbridge.The car has a lot of sentimental attachment to her, but when the drive gear light started to flash and the heater blower stopped blowing she thought she'd have to call it a day and start looking for replacement.  After diagnostics Barry explained what was required and sourced the parts and soon had all the problems resolved and all at a very, VERY reasonable price. Thank you Stanton especially Barry, my wife will be back as I'm sure the CRV will need some of your excellent call attention.

What a fantastic experience. Really great guys who finally gave me a answer to my Volvo gearbox problem after others failed to get to the problem. And time was taken to explain the situation. These guys are just brilliant! I can't recommend them enough. Completely different to your typical garage experience. I was really in trouble with the gearbox on my Mercedes B Class slipping. They could easily have told me I just needed a new one and charged me a fortune that I couldn't afford. But instead they bent over backwards to find time to fit me in when already over-booked and to try out a cheap alternative solution, fully warning me that it might not work, but saving me a fortune. I'd had a very frightening experience whilst driving my car at speed, I was unable to stop the car from accelerating and very narrowly avoided running into the back of a lorry at great speed. I needed it to be looked at immediately as I assumed it was an automatic transmission problem. I pulled up outside Stanton Automatics to ask for assistance and I was expecting to have to leave my car to be looked at later in the day. What wonderful service I got from from Stanton Automatics, Barry looked at my car straight away and he showed me what the problem was, rectified it and I was back on the road in 10 minutes. Thank you so much, you don’t know how reassured I was as it had been a pretty harrowing experience earlier in the day. Barry wouldn’t take any payment .... he said it was Christmas" but I will ensure he is thanked for your kindness. I can't recommend this garage enough. I came here via a recommendation and, although they couldn't fix the issue - they specialise in autoboxes, not necessarily engine issues - they scanned the car for errors, traced it back to the source (which was causing numerous knock on issues) and recommended another, trusted, garage to go.Not being local for long, finding a garage you can trust is very important to me. I will definitely be using Stanton again if I ever need my automatic box looking at.Brilliant place, friendly guys with loads of knowledge etc.What more could you want.

May not look too plush from the outside, but these chaps do know their stuff and were extremely helpful . I had an intermittent problem with an automatic gearbox, and they diagnosed it very thoroughly before picking up any spanners and I am happy to say the problem appears to have been solved. Highly reccomended.

My Peugeot had a problem with the automatic gearbox. The team soon diagnosed the problem and fixed the problem. I was impressed with there professionalism and good service. The car now runs perfectly well. Previously I took the car to another specialist and they suggested a new gearbox unlike Stantons who diagnosed a faulty valve so making a lot cheaper to repair.
