Ergomobility

I have thought long and hard about writing this review as I have two totally different experiences. I employed the services of Ergomobilty after reading the reviews and speaking to the office about the work involved. I will start with the best first. The installation of the over ring accelerator was very well fitted and unfortunately I had problems very soon after I took possession. This was addressed professionally and promptly by the engineer who installed the kit. The complete electronics system developed an intermittent fault and was replaced on the second visit without questioning.The problem started when dealing with the booking in and arranging the work to be completed.It was agreed with Ergomobilty on the 22/5/23 the car was would be delivered to them on the morning of the 5/6/23 and to be completed and collected on the 9/6/23. On the 7/6/23 I was informed the parts had not arrived and despite questioning why this had only just been found out I knew I was being fobbed off. Eventually I was called back by a member of the office team to be told an investigation had been carried out and it would appear the parts had not been ordered. I thanked the caller for their honesty saying I was pleased this had been resolved and advised her I can work with good news and bad news but I can’t work with no news or being fobbed off. I was told they were hoping the parts would hopefully arrive the following week however, the parts had to come from Italy and they are not that reliable and customs could hold things up. I accepted this although it wasn’t what I wanted to hear but it was a plan. It was agreed I would be phoned each day with an update even if there was nothing to report. This lasted for about 4 days after which I had to revert to calling for updates. The day after the parts arrived I was told the steering wheel had to go to Italy for adaption. Obviously I was not happy with this but I accepted what had to be done. Early the following week I was advised the wheel did not have to go back to Italy and work had started, brilliant. From here it went downhill again, despite several attempts and questions the office staff could not and would not give me a completion date even an estimated date. All I kept hearing was it was a specialised job and could not possibly even give an estimated completion date despite when the work was originally agreed it was estimated to be a four day job. Anyway I eventually got my car which was then further delayed because I didn’t have an estimated completion date I couldn’t reserve a collection date and had to wait nearly another week for the transportation company. There was a lot more negative points and a reluctance in estimating a completion date. All in all a very disappointing and lack of organisation.

I cannot express just what the excellent Service, Advice and on going help means to my Daughter and I. Ergo have so helpful in advising the correct adaptions for my Daughter to be able to comfortably access her vehicle and drive from her wheelchair.We have known them for years now and have NEVER been disappointed. If you need adaptations, Ergomobility are definitely the company you want on the job! They have carried out works on my WAV on behalf of Motability for a number of years and today I was booked in to have the dock on my powerchair changed. This was arranged to be done at my home address so no need for me to travel which is always a good thing. Their engineer Mark arrived on time and got started straight away. It turned out to be a very long and challenging job due to the design of my powerchair but Mark took it all in his stride and remained professional, kind and courteous at all times. He definitely went above and beyond today, working non stop all day in very hot weather to resolve the issues and wouldn’t stop until he got it all working as it should. No corners were cut and nothing was bodged to get the job done quicker nor were any excuses made so he could leave. Mark’s passion and dedication to the job and his expertise shone through today. His workmanship and work ethics are truly outstanding and he is a definite credit to the Ergomobility team. Excellent service. Highly recommend!

Ergomobility have fitted hoists for us on four occasions.While trying to arrange an appointment can be very frustrating (we’ve always had to wait weeks) when the work is done everything is forgiven - their engineers are truly professional and clearly take a pride in their work. On this occasion Jason fitted the hoist perfectly showing his knowledge and skill and left everything nest and tidy.

we had the front seats on our new car raised today thanks to ergomobility and wow what a difference it has made for my wife who shall i say is vertically challenged lol.Mark was the fitter and did a brilliant job!we found it easy to speak and arrange the job and our needs with ergomobilityBut the star is mark, extremely professional, polite and easy going, he made sure my wife was completely comfortable in the car and did a fantastic job, total credit to the companythank you Mark and ergo ,, happy wife happy life !

Ergomobility has just fitted hand controls to my car and I cannot recommend them highly enough.The job was complicated by me having no fingers on my small left hand. With the hand controls operated by my right hand, We had to work out how to steer and operate the gear selector with my left hand.Everyone I dealt with was highly professional and kind and helpful.My first thanks go to Mark for his engineering work and willingness to think outside the box and work with me. We sat in the car and adjusted the adaptation for the gear selector millimetre by millimetre to get the correct angle for me to be able to press the button and change gear. He had initial ideas, and we worked it out as we went along, with him disappearing to the workshop and coming out with another adjustment to try. By the end of the afternoon we had the solution. I so appreciated his understanding that a minor tweak made all the difference.Then there was how to turn on the ignition with my right hand while it also had to hold the brake. A bend in the horizontal bar and it was possible.Then Bruce who talked me through the whole process of getting assessed and then the complications of Motability, lack of new cars and my Personal Independence Payment. It was incredibly helpful.Then the rest of the team. All of you have great people skills and I appreciated that you went through my options to make sure I was making the right decisions, rather than just going with what I said.So thank you, thank you, thank you

Having the need to have a new scooter hoist fitted into my new ŠKODA, I contacted ERGOMOBILITY.I felt really confident about asking them, as I have used them many times before and have always been pleased with their fitting of my adaptations.As promised, on the day of fitting, I received a call from DAN the engineer, an hour before I was needed at the dealership. This allowed me to travel there in time for the new fitting of the lifting piece and the balancing of my mobility scooter. I arrived at the dealership and Dan came across from the workshop area and greeted me and my wife. He was most friendly, polite and courteous.Dan took us to where my new vehicle was waiting and showed us the new hoist he had just finished installing. He showed us how the hoist worked and where the main on/off control was located.Dan then started to fit my new Smart Scooter Seat from Autochair. This newly designed seat is a blessing as it is very easy for my wife to dismantle and allows us to get my mobility scooter into a Skods Kodiaq with ease.This was the first time Dan had fitted one of these new seats. However he completed the job very professionally explaining what he was doing, and then adjusting the hoist to balance my scooter as it lifted for loading.I would, from my experiences with ERGOMOBILITY, certainly recommend them. From my initial calls to their office, the subsequent calls I made to confirm certain details and my experiences of their staff and engineers I have always received great help and polite service. I will for certainty be a returning customer when needed again.Thank you ERGOMOBILITY, and thank you DAN for making what is a stressful time for me when changing vehicles, a very easy and pleasant experience.Mr R Smith East Sussex.

I've just received my new WAV and the team at Ergomobility have been absolutely amazing. From start to finish they have been so helpful. I needed a few extra alterations to my vehicle and they arranged this very quickly and I am thrilled with my new van. Thanks so much to Mark and Tracey as they have gone above and beyond.
