Soil Check Limited

This soil-check service is perhaps the best place to start understanding the earth within a garden, allotment or even some section of natural ground where the history of its use is unknown or there might be concerns about possible chemical use that could have left contamination. As well, simply knowing how well the soil could nourish plants on site.I found the service an easy process with two (jam-jar size) containers posted for me to fill. They are sent via Soil-Check to a reputable analytical laboratory which will return a report in reasonable time.The results come with a clear explanation of any contaminants found as well as details that indicate the fertility of the soil. (This is for the dual test package.)Amazingly, the cost of this is perhaps a tenth of what many laboratories may charge. From that point of view, it is almost a public service, and clearly those who offer it are dedicated beyond any commercial interest.

Very simple way of checking whether my vegetable patch was safe to grow fruit & veg. The whole process was simple from start to finish and the results are fascinating !

Cannot recommend this service enough! Very easy to follow instructions on how to use the kit and the results were returned quite quickly. My dad and I had dug out a medium sized patch for potatoes, so he used it to help guide him around what to do to get the best out of the soil for his beloved Kerr's Pinks. So it would also be a good present if you have a soil nerd in the family!

Having recently moved house I used Soil Check to quickly and accurately determine if it was appropriate to grow vegetables in my garden and raised beds. The process was very straight forward with clear sampling instructions. The results and report was easy to understand and gave clear indications on risks.
