Design Junction

I visited Design Junction on Sunday with my partner for a two person tufting workshop.I can’t even begin describe how lovely it was. Amy and Jake were super accommodating and helpful when needed, but also gave us creative freedom to get on with what we wanted. They were very knowledgable when it came to the craft and obviously had a passion for art and design.The day was lowkey and relaxed, with music playing and cups of tea provided. It was refreshing to have an experience that was unpretentious and genuine. We both left having completed pieces we were happy with.I couldn’t recommend enough for anyone, artists or not, looking to escape for the day.

I had a wonderful morning, pottery class. It was delightful. The teacher was great at making me feel at ease and not embarrassed. They gave a demonstration and supported throughout the process, but also gave us freedom to experiment as well. Very laid back atmosphere and enjoyable.

Had a great morning with a friend tufting rugs. The team were lovely, especially Emily. It’s a creative atmosphere that isn’t judgemental. Emily gave us great advice and encouragement. She’s very knowledgeable. Thank you!

What a great creative corner Winchester has gained! My girlfriends and I had such a good couple of evenings, making and then painting our pottery. Emily and Amy are great teachers, very welcoming, friendly and patient. Can’t wait to try more workshops!

My sister and I had a fantastic experience at the Design Junction. We did a rug tufting workshop for 2 and had an amazing experience. Our teacher Amy was very helpful and gave very clear helpful instructions as well as brilliant creative advice in creating our rugs. She also left us to it, when we needed it, so we could create our very own masterpieces. What a wonderful experience. I highly recommend for anyone that wants experience using a tufting gun.

Me and a friend came to make rugs and we both loved the experience! Emily and Amy were extremely friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere was lovely. We were shown how to use the tufting gun and given some practice space and advice but were then free to create our rugs at our own pace, with help always close at hand if needed.I'd recommend having some idea of a design beforehand, but there were plenty of examples around the workspace for inspiration. We'd definitely recommend this, probably our favourite craft experience!

My friends & I had a wonderful time in the beginners pottery class today. Everyone at The Design Junction were really friendly and the class was really enjoyable. I am looking forward to doing another class soon.

We love the design junction - the team are amazing and it’s so nice to have such a creative place in Winchester.It’s really reasonably priced and the Tena are fab. Emily who leads the evening clay sessions is so friendly and makes the whole eve a lot of fun. Can’t praise them highly enough :)

I had a great time today at a 4 hour Tufting workshop with Emily. She was super helpful and patient, and I’m looking forward to receiving the finished project .

This was a great afternoon with a friend, learning rug tufting. Amy was a brilliant tutor and Jake was very helpful too. I'd highly recommend this - great value for money, and fun!!
