Home - Twelve Triangles | Slow fermented sourdough and pastries made in Edinburgh | We are a scratch bakery, working entirely with cold/slow fermentation sourdoughs, our breads and pastries work on a 3 or 4-day cycle and everything is made and shaped by hand by our bakers. No additives, no improvers.

The pastries and coffee are great but having been a regular takeout customer for a few years, now the kitchen table concept has arrived, ordering a take away coffee takes a lot longer, as the table service is prioritised. Also the window hatch (which was great to order coffee through when I had the dog with me!) is no longer in operation so if you're a dog owner bear that in mind.

This place used to be really good. Unfortunately the bread is no longer well made - often full of massive holes which they need to work on. They often overcook their loaves so the bread is usually a bit burnt. It’s also very expensive for what you are getting. Better to buy your bread from Hobz or Kvasa who have better quality bread for the price. The service is also not great, they have started adding tipping for take-away on the machines automatically, are they not paying their staff enough? Overall, better places to go in Leith.

Asked me wait outside for my coffee in the pouring rain on one of the most miserable days of the year and then took forever to make 2 coffees. Coffees are delicious, albeit expensive. Service needs some work. They could learn a few things from the morningside location where everyone isawesome.

Had lunch with some friends here, food is delicious!The bread and pickle plates were divine. We had some breads, with a variety of butters and houmous. A lovely plate of picked veg too. So good that we forgot to take pictures.Service was incredible too. Will definitely be back again soon.

July 2023 update - now with added Kitchen Table! New menus, table service and delicious made to order food. Same great coffee and pastries, same lovely service.Always good for coffee, excellent sourdough and pastries - now with added savouries and posh provisions.As of April 2022 there are tables inside to enjoy their excellent coffee and pastries.

My favourite bread in all of Edinburgh, in my opinion. I miss good sourdough bread from Germany. I think this is even better than average German bread. But the cake and pastries are more average in my opinion. Way too sweet and overpriced.

I got the falafel sandwich and a chai latte and both were absolutely delish. They were also giving away free ice cream for the shops birthday, which was a lovely treat at the end! Staff were v v nice and helpful as well

Excellent place for breakfast. A huge selection of bread and pastries. Great coffee and an extensive breakfast menu. We had a couple of buns and the granola. It was yummy.

Stopped in for a small bit of food and caffeine. Staff were kind & welcoming. Food was delicious and so many sweet options. It’s a cozy location.

Great spot for breakfast, the food was amazing! We had the hash browns with egg and kimchi, and a banana bread with yoghurt (eaten before getting a photo!). The counter was full of delicious pastries and bread, we were really spoilt for choice :)
