Tina Nails Addiscombe

It was the first time visiting here and I needed a consultation as I wasn't sure what I wanted. Although the wait time was quick I wasn't given any support with nail colours and type so I had to ask a customer. The person doing my nails could barely understand me and I couldn't understand the mumbling coming from underneath the mask. When you're not sure what you want there should be more guidance as the amount of colours and treatments can be baffling for first timers. I noticed that people had loyalty cards but I wasn't offered one. I will visit again to visit the foot spa which I am looking forward to. All in all, it seemed professional and my nails were 'ok'.

Okay, now wouldn’t expect much from a nail shop. But the rudeness of who I think is the owner was something else. Knowing how hard it is in beauty I even paid. But it turns out that me asking to pay less when they did such a poor job when I should’ve not paid really. I was invited to never come back lolI have attached the pictures of what my nails were like when they first painted it, he really tried to put top coat on that, but I did tell him how wrong this was. He then tries to take it from the cutícules but I think he would know that it would lift!!! But I had to ask him to remove… The last man did a good job painting them. But then shape done before was just so bad, I could have done this myself.If you care about your nails, avoid at all costs. Go find someone who cares about the clients and takes pride in their work, not just want a quick buck.

I’ve used Tina’s Nails a few times and the last time in particular I wasn’t happy. I had a pedicure and gel set booked for a two week holiday. The pedicure was rushed at the time. When I got to my destination my gel pedicure lasted 3 days and had to redo it. It started peeling off after 3 days which is unacceptable. The service has also gone downhill over the years. Every time I visit this shop the card machine is conveniently ‘not working’. On this occasion the man who did my nails even got the card machine out for me to pay and then muttered something in his language to the owner then all of a sudden the card machine was not working, they requested that I pay in cash. This was utter rubbish, as every time I’ve been in here over the last 18 months the card machine never works. This is a front to not pay the correct tax I believe as if you want cash only then say so.The owner then stated that I would need to pay in cash or via bank transfer. She gave me the bank details and my bank is one which scans the account number and asks whether this is a business or personal account. As advised by the post it note given to me with the bank details it said business so on HSBC’s app I duly selected ‘business account’ however when they ran the account details a message came up saying this is a personal account. I asked the owner to clarify as she said it was a business account. She got very defensive and said “No it is not personal it’s a business account”. She got so defensive as I asked her in the crowded shop. I even tried showing her where HSBC have flagged that it’s not a business account. I paid but wasn’t happy with her attitude and then later the longevity of my pedicure. I will not use Tina’s Nails again.Although the shop is very local for me the lazy nature of their work is not good enough and lack of transparency of card payments.

Sadly I’ve been there twice now and my nails were awful each time. My cuticles weren’t touched on either time , the colour was applied making a strange shape to my nail, my 2nd time I had to return as the nails had dents in them and then under 2 weeks later 2 just broke off. I don’t think my nails have ever looked so bad. I was going to go back to get them redone but I don’t trust them to do that.

The place is nice and clean and the service was quick, the people working were ok, fairly friendly not super chatty but nice. I'm happy with my nails just got gel polish and so did my mum

A very rude staff. The first staff who started removing the varnish left half way through and switched with another staff 5 minutes later. When I put my hand under the dryer the light did not come on and as I was checking the staff rudely said don't worry you will get to wash your hand (which never happened) I never assumed that the dryer was dirty. She then rushed it towards the end of manicure and left.There is an extra cost to have chrome sparkle on top of your gel varnish (which I found out when I was paying) and when I asked if it was the same price, She mumbled (she had a mask on) and I understood it as yes. When I came to pay for it I was charged extra. The staff who took the money said I heard her told you it was £5 extra for the chrome sparkle. It funny how she could hear it from far away that I couldn't. You need to look up and speak clearly to your customer. It seems like they treat there customers differently depending who you are which is a shame.

Bit disappointed last week ,all staff talking to each other,come out with headache,and charged me £10 extra for one line on each nail,not happy £64 for pedicure and this

Love my nails and toes. Fabulous job! Have been looking for my new regular salon and at last found it!

I had an appointment booked and paid somewhere else, when I turned up they were shut. I found Tina's Nails in an urgent hurry as had a holiday booked the following day. Although Tina's Nails was fully booked she managed to squeeze me in and did a wonderful job. Will definitely be coming back.
