My elderly mother has recently been discharged from hospital. When she got home it became apparent that her shower cubicle was going to be a stumbling block. So having used JR Plumbing and Heating in the past at my own house I had no hesitation in calling them and asking for a home visit and advice. James came the next day and surveyed mums bathroom and at his suggestion we decided that a new larger cubicle would be the best option. James went away and within a few days called me with suggestions and a quote to do the works. An installation date was agreed and I was told Nathan would be coming 06/09/23 to replace cubicle, a few days later I had a call from Gemma who said they could bring installation date forward to 04/09/23 brilliant. So on 04/09 Nathan and Ollie arrived and began works. During the installation both guys worked efficiently with minimal mess or upheaval for mum. All work was carried out professionally and we were kept updated by Nathan throughout the job.In a nutshell I would highly recommend JR Plumbing and Heating they are absolutely brilliant. They fitted a bathroom for me. I do not rate them. Really, most of all, I hated dealing with the first customer admin person, as it was like she thought she was doing me a favour. I paid a lot of money for a 2 star service. The tiler they appointed was not up to the job, as it involved complex herringbone tiling. He started off very well, but then ran out of time (never assigned enough time to the job in the first place) and then rushed it. They then took weeks on end to sort the problem out, and it was never ultimately at the standard it should have been, with uneven tiles etc, and each time I had to go via this dreadful customer admin lady. They also did sloppy siliconing, such that I had to remove it and redo it myself. Some of the staff that do the plumbing work, particularly the junior ones, were very nice and I really rated them, but this job was let down by the tiling, the slowness in sorting out the problem thereafter (which was never really done adequately) and the first customer admin lady. I involved different bathroom fitters for my subsequent two bathrooms, and they did a much better job.My advice would be to choose a large company which employs its own tilers, electricians, decorators, etc, rather than one that contracts it out to others.

Very prompt arrangement for an engineer visit to fix problem with heating valve the next day. Identified problem with valve which needed partial replacement. Obtained new part required and fixed it within 1 hour 15mins. Was therefore disappointed that I was billed for 2 hours labour. I telephoned and questioned the bill and after checking with the engineer they agreed to reduce the labour cost to 1.5hours. The detail of the actual part on the invoice was not complete which led to some confusion when I checked the purchase price of this item. The company explained that they add 20% to actual parts purchased. I'm not sure why as I assumed their labour charge will provide their profit margin as well as the engineer's salary. Work completed satisfactorily and working well.

Jay and his team were amazing help from day 1 to the end. The work quality is amazing and I would highly recommend the company to anyone. Each day Jay and his team were especially helpful in ensuring that everything is done to how we wanted it and they were extremely friendly.

JR Plumbing installed an electric boiler and immersion heater. The whole process from first contact through to quote and installation was really easy. We were kept informed throughout and even us changing the installation date caused no issues. The team of plumbers that carried out the work were always on time, kept us informed and were super helpful. Would thoroughly recommend JR Plumbing.

I have Peter come to service boilers and investigate leaking for several times. He’s skilful and has been always communicative and effective. Actually everyone of JR Plumbing I have been worked with is very friendly, responsive and responsible. Highly recommended!

JR Plumbing and Heating provided an A * service. My boiler was repaired and repositioned into the loft space. Whole cold water system removed and a pressurised system installed in the loft. Whole bathroom and W/C renovation. From the point of contact, a timely quote was provided by James and the team. Followed up by a review to program for all trades following acceptance, they provided a tight scheduled program to proceed with all works on a tight timeframe!I was really pleased with the team with the effort and commitment to get the job done! They exceeded themselves, some items were delivered damaged but this was soon sorted and replacement items organised and fitted. Any queries I had were dealt with promptly and professionally by the office team along side site team.Absolutely delighted with me bathroom and W/C. 100% recommended!

All representatives of this company have been excellent. The quotes are fair and almost half the price quoted by others. They kept in constant communication with me after visiting and answered all my questions and altered quotes multiple times. A slight blip in installation date due to sickness of an engineer but that can’t be helped and I was given a new date just a couple of days later. All credit to the Admin staff who sorted this out very quickly. The three people doing the instal were on time, professional, friendly and helpful with working out smart home devices. They didn’t stop or take lunch and powered through the job quickly. I’m very impressed with this company, would use again and would happily recommend them. Thanks for a great job.
