One of the worst chippy ive ever been to, batter was tasteless and greasy, engine oil would have tasted better, avoid this place like the plague.

Been going to this chippy for years. Change of ownership really not for the better. Very hit and miss. Things being overcooked, steak pie not what it was, chips very small compared to before. Never had an issue with the staff always friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately someone needs trained on etiquette because a Blaggis is not a haggis and black pudding put in one order because they couldn’t be bothered cutting them in half! Only use this chippy as it’s local and convenient for us.

On this occasion very very poor. Ordered a mixed kebab which had clearly been reheated in microwave through the back. There was no indication of kebab cooking going on through the front at the counter. Was lukewarm, chewy and just downright rotten. Chips were gritty which was rather odd. Why offer this on your menu if its not done properly? Stick to traditional chippy stuff and pizza. On the plus side staff are nice enough but wont be enough to see me ever going back. Plenty of chippies in the area to choose from but this one has gone right downhill in my estimation. Whoever thinks its a good idea to microwave donner meat/tikka chicken and still manage to serve it cold needs their jotters. Very poor stuff from what use to be a decent chippie.

Was always great, don’t know if there has been a change in ownership as staff aren’t the originals… So it starts with the price hike due to potato costs, notice states this will return to normal when the new crop comes in but apparently the great potato famine continues. But the main gripe was last night’s sudden cut in portion size! A lot lot less chips and it now seems the usual half smoked sausage seems like one third. The battered jumbo’s seem the same as before. Chips also seemed very very greasy. Will give it another go but if this is the new norm our very long love affair is over!

Prices up, portions downsized. Staff were not giving great service - not even eye contact and clearly some problem behind the counter that was causing the attitude problem. Not my business and shouldnt be my problem either. Smoked sausage was poor quality and chips when you got a whole one were good but felt like a box of scraps. Home made bottles of brown sauce are very very questionable. Won't be back despite being very convenient.

Was missing a Spaghetti Bolognese from my order, I called restaurant and was argued with that they definitely put it in the bag. I told them it definitely wasnt here, they asked if I wanted it today or on my next order, I said today obviously. Was told it would be sent asap. An hour passed, so I called again and was told it was about to go out with the driver and that would be about 20 mins. I said if it wasnt here by then I'm coming to the shop to pick one up. Was told that would probably be quicker, so I said I want a refund and a Bolognese.TLDR: Missing item from order, was basically called a liar, waited over an hour to eventually have to go pick it up myself, and didnt end up eating it because it tasted rubbish anyways.Awful Customer Service. Won't order from here again. Plenty more Fish (and Chip shops) in the sea.

Ordered haddock and chips and blaghas and chips chips fine, fish ok, blaghas ok batter on both not nice hard and chewy called spoke to manager who did not seem to be concerned

Ordered fish in breadcrumbs supper and hamburger supper chips were rubbish and luke warm only 1 fish when other chippy give you 2 and the hamburgers were horrible never go back there would not recommend to anyone
