Gary has made our holiday so much more enjoyable because it took all the stress of finding the best places to visit, no worries about parking the car etc! He has a comfortable air conditioned Merc which takes up to 8 people. He is so knowledgeable about local history but very adaptable so your tour will be adapted to your needs. My husband has limited mobility but Gary knew just how much help to offer so he could get the most out of the castles, bays and Cliffs that we visited. Definitely recommended for tours round Dover but I gather he takes tours further afield as well.

Best tour guide ever!My husband and I had a really wonderful tour of a great combination- castles and Kent countryside with Gary Price, our private tour guide for four days in September. Gary was really fun, professional and very knowledgeable about the history and locale. We visited the castles at Dover, Leeds, Deal and Walmer. Gary brought the history alive with interesting details and stories. We thoroughly enjoyed his company and the drive through the enchanting countryside.

I engaged Gary with Horizon Private Hire to pick me up at Heathrow Airport one day and drive me to my hotel in Dover stopping at Leeds Castle on the way. The next day he spent all day taking me to my choice of places in the Dover area, primarily the White Cliffs, Canterbury Cathedral (he is an accredited guide) and driving through the countryside and small villages. This was one of my best days ever— I felt like I was in a travelogue for southeastern England when we pulled to the side of the road, walked through an old wooden gate along a dirt path through fields of wildflowers to the paved path along the White Cliffs and then down to the edge for a closeup look. They were spectacular in their chalky whiteness. Gary was so informative about the history of what we saw both days, the Leeds Castle grounds were fabulous — I could have spent an entire day there. Canterbury and especially his stories of Thomas Becket were fascinating. But Gary is more than a knowledgeable guide; he is a caring person who wants you to have a great experience in the area he grew up in. My pace is slower than many and I love to take a lot of photos. He quickly picked upOn that and often lent me his arm for balance to avoid the rabbit holes. We stopped at his favorite pub for lunch which was great. At first I was totally stressed out because I had forgotten to bring adapters and couldn’t charge my phone which I use for photos. He got that problem solved immediately and I was happy the rest of the day. I have hired many private guides and drivers and I can honestly say that Gary is the best ever!!!

I go to Britain every 2 or 3 years. I have done big bus tours, small bus tours, and some on my own- but nothing compares to having a one on one experience with a private tour guide to give you history and stores like Gary. I took my grand daughter to England, we had a full day of Dover white cliffs, 2 beaches, castles, a pub for lunch, Canterbury, the lovely countryside side, and Tudor Village-with Gary. My grand daughter had the most wonderful time with Gary- she still talkes about him to this day.Thanks again Gary for a wonderful day we will never forget. I recommend this Private Hire..

We booked Horizon Private Hire for 3 days to take us from London to points South and West. By the end of the trip Gary was like family. We toured his area of expertise, Leeds Castle, Canterbury Cathedral and Cliffs of Dover one day. Oxford and the Cotswolds another and finally Windsor Castle and Stonehenge. He took great care to make sure we had everything we needed. His knowledge, kindness and humor made it a trip to remember.
