Changing Worlds
My time with changing worlds in Port Elizabeth, South Africa was incredible whilst there I have made so many new friends who will be friends for life! It’s the perfect balance of volunteering and socialising, We taught at a local primary school and with me training to be a teacher myself it was incredible to see how education and teaching works in other places in the world, I learnt so much that I can take back to England with me and have introduced the teachers and discussed different teaching methods and strategies with them also. I will definitely be doing something like this again. All of the staff members are so lovely and make you feel welcome and at home the mamas are incredible and if there are any problems they are dealt with immediately. I loved my time here and I really want to do something like this again however for longer. It’s been amazing!

Fantastic experience volunteering in Bali with sea turtles for a week in Nusa Penida and then an adventure week in Ubud. The staff and other volunteers are amazing and the work is very meaningful. I helped feed and look after baby sea turtles that will be released when they are big and strong. It was a dream come true and I loved every minute. The adventure week was spent biking, rafting, and hiking and was very fun as well.

Changing Worlds
We have had very good experiences with the volunteering activity in Ghana. Both my sons have now been with their friends; one time contributing to the football coaching activity, the other time to the swim coaching programme. In preparation, James Burton was incredibly helpful in terms of setting up video calls with the interested students and parents to answer questions and provide more information. The experiences were very valuable and gave the boys the opportunity to experience and appreciate a different culture.

My 19 year old son joined the Community Experience Placement in Esparza, Costa Rica for 3 weeks in May and really enjoyed his work in the different fields. He taught first aid courses in a school, worked on a construction site and helped out with 3 to 6 year old children. The responsible there is Andy and he is very helpful and has a lot of experience and you always have the feeling the volunteers are in very good hands! My son also really enjoyed having contact with the locals and of course enjoyed the beauty of this fantastic country! After his volunteer program he did a 10 day road trip with his sister through Costa Rica and they loved it!

Changing Worlds
I spent 5 months in Costa Rica volunteering via Changing Worlds. Support began before departure with essential covid and visa documentation, and correspondence with the staff in Costa Rica made for a very hassle-free handover. My time here has been characterised by a feeling of genuine utility in the workplace, balanced with leisure time exploring this beautiful country thanks to this company. An experience I would recommend to all!

Changing Worlds
I used Changing Worlds for a 5 month trip in Costa Rica. The support I received both in the UK getting everything sorted despite a maze of covid difficulties and on the ground in CR was excellent. They are knowledgeable, friendly and passionate about creating meaningful a travel experience. I owe a lot to them for the immensely valuable experience I had.

My son joined the Ghana swimming program this summer. He had a great experience meeting new people and exploring the culture. The staff in the volunteer's house was very kind and helpful and made the trip for him one to remember.

Changing Worlds
I recently volunteered with Changing Worlds in Port Elizabeth for 4 weeks. Whilst there I volunteered in a local school, and the welcoming from staff both at the school and from Changing Worlds was amazing! I would definitely recommend this trip to anyone who is a trainee teacher, or even someone who wants to see a different perspective on life.
