Play to Measure

We couldn't be happier with our custom made creation from Play to Measure. We wanted a sandpit for our Specialist Nursery that we could also use as a stage when the lid was on, and encorporate a chalk board wall as part of the structure. It wasn't an easy ask, but Keith designed it exactly as we had hoped for. Keith knows the needs of our children and put their safety above everything else when he built the structure, ensuring they could explore independently without hurting themselves. The original structure of the lid was too heavy for some staff to lift though, but Keith was really helpful and got straight back to us to sort it, so we could more easily take the lid on and off, creating the most wonderful piece of play equipment for the children to develop skills in many different ways.We are so happy with the results and the children have loved all elements of it. I can not recommend Play to Measure highly enough; we are so grateful for you working so hard to accomodate all our demands. Thanks Keith, we can't wait to get you back to build our water wall!

We used Play to Measure to remove and install a new raised decking structure and create a treehouse in our garden. They were professional throughout the design, planning and installation phase. The quality is to an excellent standard. The decking is exactly what we asked for and more and the treehouse which was designed from scratch is amazing. Our kids have played in it all summer! We were very pleased with the price and although the design evolved a little through the process, cost effective solutions were always looked for. Thank you Play to Measure, would highly recommend!

The team really listened to our ideas and the needs of our learners

I contacted Play To Measure initially as I had seen the fantastic items they create on Facebook. I cannot fault them, from start to finish the customer service was second to none. I had a consultation with Keith who designed a bespoke mud kitchen for my 2 year old on what he wanted, I was shown the concept art and he kept me informed every step of the way. My son absolutely adores his mud kitchen. Fabulous company that delivers beautiful bespoke items.

After seeing their posts on Facebook, I contacted Play to Measure as was looking to get something more original and unique for my godsons birthday.From calling I spoke with Keith who was able to give me a range of different options. He was also able to suggest ideas that would would work well with my God sons age range. Agreed a design on a mud cafe for the garden.Once completed Keith sent over images of the mud cafe for our approval before he delivered to my godsons ready for his birthday.Very impressed with all aspects of the service provided and will be using Play to measure again.

We are so lucky to have had Keith (and the rest of the Play to Measure) team building us the most amazing garden creations, including an epic treehouse/deck that's as much for us adults as it is the kids and a mud kitchen that is probably bigger, and definitely more beautiful, than our actual kitchen!Keith's design process is fun from the start. He really took the time to understand the sort of things that makes us (and the kids) excited, coming up with amazing designs and incorporating tweaks effortlessly.Going on to the build, Keith, and the other PtM team members, were an absolute pleasure to have in our home (well, garden), really hard workers but happy to stop and discuss our continually evolving design thoughts. This is really testament to the experience and creative expertise as we kept adding little adjustments along the way that were no trouble at all.It's hard to express how stunning the end product is but the treehouse vastly exceeded the ideas we'd envisaged prior to finding Play to Measure and is now a daily feature of our garden play. We asked Keith to come straight back to build a new mud-kitchen as the one we'd cobbled together had not lasted more than a season. I genuinely think we'll be using the new mud kitchen for our outdoor BBQ'ing long after our kids have grown!A word of warning, Keith's creations are so gorgeous that you'll keep asking him back for more. Indeed, we've now booked him in to come and build a sandpit!In summary, we're a little bit in love with Play to Measure, both for the professional output and as genuinely great people to have working in the garden. The quality of the end product is ridiculously good value for money and we will continue to think of other things they can build for us (adults included) to play with.

As part of redesigning my garden, the empty unused pond needed to be covered up and I didn't know what to do with it. I asked for Keith's help and he suggested on using it for a deck space. Keith gave me a initial visit to look at the pond area and came up with a simple but effective decking design and advised us on the materials, measurements and duration to complete. On the days of the job, he was on time with the all the equipment he needed. Throughout the build, he was professional, hardworking and friendly and even let me help a bit which was a great experience. The job was completed in two days and resulted in a wasted pond space turned into a simple but effective decking area with a movable step, just in time for the summer. Highly recommended if you want something special built for your garden. I cannot thank you enough.

From the initial meeting it was clear that Play to Measure’s creative vision was something that the students at Penn Fields School would really benefit from. The enthusiasm, craftsmanship and attention to detail have been superb. Keith and the team have transformed our woodland area into a truly magical space where our students can explore and play in a safe environment. From the treetop village to the waterworks and relaxation grove, all of the bespoke spaces have been created with our students’ needs in mind. The huge mud kitchen and forest schools caravan classroom have been excellent additions to our outdoor spaces. After opening our school in January 2022 we always dreamt of transforming our overgrown garden at the rear of the school into a purposeful learning and recreational space for our young people. We invited Play to Measure into school to listen to the ideas of our School Council, and we immediately knew they were the guys for the job! They listened carefully to our requirements but then added another level of creativity and fresh ideas to the brief. They then presented the drawings back to our School Council, making amendments as required and keeping the young people involved in every stage of the design. Play to Measure were able to split the build down into three phases to meet our budget constraints and other requirements. During the build we were kept fully informed of all the construction stages and Play to Measure's detail towards health and safety reassured us that our young people would be safe and school life could continue as normal throughout the transformation. Where it was safe to do so, Play to Measure involved our young people in the build process, sharing valuable construction skills with patience and understanding. We are all so happy and proud of the finished project! Everything has been completed with a great deal of skill and attention to detail. We cannot recommend Play to Measure enough to transform the indoor or outdoor learning spaces for any school, and we look forward to continuing this partnership for many years to come!
