St Bartholomew's Church, Elvaston

It was very cold when outside was warm and it was swarmed with ladybirds, they were everywhere

Looks nice enough, but wasn't open so we couldn't go inside.

We were lucky enough to go on a day that the castle and church were open, this doesn't happen very often. Beautiful little church and grave yard with so much history.

Beautiful church inside and out rich in history

I have just started learning to ring church bells and need extra practice, I was assured that I would find a warm welcome at St Bartholomews and indeed I did from chatting on the phone, to going and joining in, everyone was so nice and helpful, I was made to feel a part of something special, the church is so beautiful with carpets through out, I live 14miles away in Kirkby in Ashfield and hope to make the journey again on a regular basis ,This is, in my opinion a lovely church, and long may it continue to be so
