Wickes Taunton

Thanks to Cathy for engineering my tiles collection, so my wife could pick them up from Cornwall. I feel she went over and above what I would expect of service in a large store. I am a tradesman and regularly use Wickes and others. This was by far the best experience I have ever had, even to the point of a staff member helping my wife unload many boxes into the car. If DIY store service medals could be given, then Wickes Taunton deserve to be top of the list. Thanks again to Cathy and team.

Okay for what you need and staff were helpful enough. Store in general was quite a mess with products up and down aisles all off the shelves plus looked like the outdoor section hadn't seen a tidy up for months which doesn't help when trying to look for things without having to disturb staff.

Good size store and stock. Some things are a little over priced in comparison to other internet options but you pay for the convenience of getting it 'now'. However their fence panels are brilliantly priced and delivery charges are very good, I recently bought one and had it delivered fairly quickly. Never had any problems with this store and even if I don't need anything it's nice to walk around and look at options.

Ordered a few bits on line. Received an email (from a manager Glen) saying they couldn't do the agreed delivery date and said it would arrive a couple of days late which was ok. It never arrived so I emailed the manager Glen who never returned my email. I then contacted customer support who called the store on my behalf and advised the manager would call me back within 4 hours. No one called back. A few more days passed and the order still hadn't been delivered. So I contacted customer service again, who contacted the store again. Once again I was told I'd received a call back and heard nothing. Today, almost two weeks after the original delivery date, the order arrived.... with 6 items missing. No explanation as to why! So I'm again onto customer service, who have promised someone will call me within 5 hours. I'm not holding my breath.

Ordered a door for the bathroom 1st one arrived damaged. Asked for a replacement to be sent-what was delivered was a shelf!!! Asked for a refund on 16th October was advised would be in my account within 14 working days. Checked my account today and no refund they are now breaking the consumer act!! Over 5 hours spent on the phone over the last 3 weeks trying to sort this out. Absolute joke of a company who seem to think it is ok to break the law!! Avoid at all costs.

Great national company. Superb range of products. Generally competitively priced. Edge of town retail/trade park with ample parking.

I had a mixer tap go faulty within guarantee. They didn't have one similar so immediately offered a full refund. No need to argue and none of that nonsense about credit notes that you so often get. I'd even bought it from a different branch. Exemplary service from LEE. Thank you.

Really helpful lady… and sincerely tried to save us money.. excellent product range and value for money.. usually my first choice for home build project supplies.

After having zero customer service from the online chat regarding using a gift card and delivery slots (trying to order paving slabs and materials) we went to our nearest store in Taunton expecting the same treatment, however, the team there were amazing and helped us order the slabs and arranged it so we wouldn't be charged delivery. I don't know the man's name but the lady at customer service is called Gail. We were in there this morning. Both members of staff were so helpful and focused on solutions instead of blaming the customer like the online chat person.
