Kate Moorby Canine Behaviourist and Dog Trainer

Kate has been fabulous. We were looking to find a dog trainer who could make dog training fun, rather than like going back to school. Kate not only understands your dog inside out, but also understands you as owners. Our dog has gone from being an energetic young puppy. To a well trained, obedient boy. That's all thanks to Kate. The training is iterative, easy to do and you can see how it builds towards a better dog. Kate, thanks so MUCH! You're a superstar!

Kate is a brilliant dog/owner trainer and I can’t recommend her enough. We enlisted her help for a Cavapoo puppy who was very mouthy and full of boundless energy and we were definitely struggling to deal with it. Training with Kate has helped us understand him so much better. The mouthiness has decreased significantly and we now know how to redirect his energy to more useful activities than zooming around the place. She taught us about dog body language and other practical advice which we have found so useful. His training is coming along well and we will definitely be booking a refresher class in the future. We adopted Buster, the Chocolate Labrador at approx 18 months old. He had good manners and relatively good recall, but it was sometimes selective. Being a Labrador, he also has scavenging ways. We worked with Kate on one of her three-part personal training programmes.We loved the insight and science that Kate brought to each of the training sessions. It really helped us to understand not only how to keep Buster on track, but the reasons why he sometimes behaves the way he does. If you have a badly behaved dog or even one that just needs a bit of work from time-to-time, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Kate.

Kate has been a really great trainer and I would highly recommend.I was a new puppy owner so somewhat nervous about getting things right and my partner had dogs previously but lots has changing in puppy training over the years. This was where Kate's knowledge was great. Very up-to-date, very caring and thoughtful. A lot of the training is about understanding from the puppy perspective, which really makes you think about what you are doing - also, if things don't always work, how you can adjust things so that you and puppy are happy.Our puppy Bobbie loved Kate and Kate made the training feel so much easier and much less stressful than I thought it would be. Kate has been so helpful - from her obvious love of dogs and her understanding of the issues we were facing (anxious, highly strung Munsterlanders with separation anxiety exacerbated by lockdown) to her logical, well thought out strategies to solving them. A massive thank you to Kate for her work with me and my rescue pup, Sparky. Even after our first session the improvement was huge, and by the end of the 'reliable recall' course Sparky was so much more responsive off the lead.She really knows her stuff but makes the training easy to understand and work on in your own time. Kate has been so important to the development of our rescue dog. We had three sessions with Kate spaced out over 3 months. In that time I've seen my dog go from nervousness and fear around new people to now being a much more confident and happy little chappy.I felt Kate's sessions focussed on preparing us as the owners on how to deliver the training techniques consistently throughout the week, ultimately helping to grow the bond between us and the dog.I recommend Kate really highly. She's a patient, encouraging and enthusiastic teacher for both you and your dog, and for the results she brings, her rates are very reasonable.

We adopted a rescue dog fromRomania in May who, whilst settling really well into our family, was very reactive to any visitors to our home. Kate has helped us so much! She came to the house and gave us lots of tips and ideas. She is really knowledgeable and has enabled us to spot early signs of anxiety in our dog so we now know how to step in before the barking and nipping starts. We now have a much happier, settled dog who we all adore. I would highly recommend Kate to anyone.

Kate is an amazing trainer and behaviourist ! I was really quite desperate when I sought her help with my energetic puppy but she quickly gave me the confidence to persevere with the training and I soon saw results. She also spent a session in the park with us where she was able to explain my puppy's body language to me around other dogs. I am so grateful to her and plan to have regular refresher sessions in the future.
