We got married this summer at Traquair House in the Borders, and Andrew was our photographer. Before the wedding we had both an engagement photoshoot, which I would definitely recommend if you are uncomfortable in front of the camera, and spent time at the venue to look at possible photo ideas. Both of these helped us feel a lot more relaxed with everything on the wedding day itself. Andrew was fantastic with us, and really worked hard to incorporate our ideas whilst also providing his expertise on locations, poses, etc. His style was professional, relaxed and unobtusive, which meant we got some great photos of even the most reluctant of models. Most importantly, we absolutely loved the photos he delivered which contained a great mix of candid photos and the wedding essentials. He was also flexible with COVID caused schedule changes, of which we had a few! We would fully recommend him to anyone for their wedding!

Andrew photographed our wedding in January and did a fantastic job. Before the wedding he was really helpful and put us at ease. He was unobtrusive and courteous throughout the day and everybody liked him. We were delighted with the pictures he produced, particularly the candid ones, which will give us happy memories for many years to come. We would both highly recommend him.

Andrew provided a fantastic service when doing our wedding photo re-shoot. He made sure to understand exactly what it was we were looking for so that we got what we were looking for. Everything was so relaxed and calm. Andrew coped with some very challenging circumstances on the day but there was never any stress or rush. We had a fab day and we are very happy with the results. Andrew truly is a fantastic photographer! Throughout the wedding day and during our engagement shoot he captured natural, relaxed and fun photographs which we shall cherish forever. We could not be happier with the photographs Andrew took of our wedding. We are London based so it was by chance that I found him and liked his portfolio of pictures. He is such an easy person to get on with and we hardly noticed he was there on the day... so discreet, but still managed to capture those intimate and personal moments. The first image I obtained from Andrew wasn't after my wedding but before it. The picture of our big day was conjured up by Andrew's description of our wedding day unfolding through a lens you simply can't buy in the shops. He is calm, knowledgeable and experienced as well as extremely professional. He spent time before our day explaining what would happen and the significant moments that we may want to have captured. We are utterly grateful to Andrew for the stunning photos of our day. We have beautiful pictures of the whole wedding party and more. My husband and I are entirely delighted with the images of our shared moments on our wedding day. There was a great variety of traditional photos and some spectacular photos of our guests greeting one another and enjoying themselves, which is reassuring to us that everyone had a great time. We hired Andrew to do our wedding photography at Gilmerton House in May of this year. As we live in London, we had very few recommendations for photographers in the East Lothian area and found him by doing a search online.We were hesitant to use a photographer with no personal recommendations for something so important, but Andrew was very swift at responding to my enquiries and on my next trip to Scotland, made the effort to meet with me in person.On meeting Andrew and reviewing the photo albums he had created for previous weddings it was clear that he would be able to provide what we were looking for on our wedding day. Andrew was a delight to work with. He kept in regular contact with me leading up to the wedding to ensure that he was aware of any particular photographs I wanted and on the actual day, he was considerate, accommodating and very patient with us - particularly for the group photos which took a bit of ‘herding’. He made us and our guests feel comfortable (especially the groom who is camera shy) and his manner was very unobtrusive. This suited us well as we had a small wedding (25 people) and he fit in perfectly.We were aiming for a relaxed and intimate day and felt that Andrew caught it all through a selection of candid and traditional shots. He also got some photos of the venue, including some of the finer details without being prompted for which we are particularly grateful as we did not have the time to fully appreciate them on the day.We would happily recommend Andrew and we are grateful to him for providing a wonderful service and capturing some of our most treasured memories on camera.
