Shelley is amazing! Such a friendly and warm lady, she instantly put us at ease when speaking about our previous traumatic birth experience. Her course content was fantastic and she was excellent at tailoring it to our needs. She answered all our questions and was so clear in all her explanations. Shelley was always available before and after the course to offer advice and recommendations. She also really involved my husband who was my birth partner, which was so important.So grateful we did the course, we had the most empowering second birth experience at home. Would highly recommend any pregnant ladies to get in touch with Shelley and get prepared to have the positive birth that you want! Thank you!

Shelley at the empowering birth school is amazing! If you are looking for support, advice and to overall feel more positive and confident about your upcoming birth then do attend one of her courses. We went from feeling apprehensive to feeling positive, empowered about what we wanted, and full of birth prep knowledge. For us this led to a calm labour that we felt in control of. Any questions we had Shelley was happy to answer and she also gave us support along the way until our baby was born. Highly recommend x

Shelly is amazing. She really helped both me and my husband understand the physical, chemical and mental side of birth.I would recommended her what ever type of birth you are hoping for and planning.It was delivered in an easy to understand way, with lots of additional information provided after as well.My attitude towards my delivery changed in a really positive way thanks to shelly and her knowledge.

Shelley was my hypnobirthing teacher for my birth with my first baby and she was wonderful! She came to my house for a 121 session with my husband and I. She made what felt like a scary topic very calm and relatable, I left the course feeling well prepared and excited about my birth experience. My birth didn’t go as I’d hoped but I felt empowered and enjoyed the whole experience thanks to the techniques my husband and I were armed with! Would highly recommend x

I couldn’t recommend the empowering birth school enough. We really enjoyed our session with Shelley and found it massively helped prepare us for what was to come. Through hypnobirthing she gave us a new insight into labour & birth, and taught us how to approach it in a way that puts you in control. The techniques we were taught helped at every stage. We really appreciated the follow ups too - she genuinely cares, and it’s so nice having that support :) - thank you Shelley! X

I couldn’t recommend Shelley at The Empowering Birth School more highly. I was a more complex client having had a previous c section due to baby being breech, anxieties due to 6 previous missed miss carriages, diabetes, strep b, sciatica and pelvic girdle pain! but nothing phased her, she went above and beyond doing further research after our sessions in order to provide me with an abundance of additional information specifically for my circumstances. My self and my (slightly awkward husband!) were fully comfortable in our sessions with Shelley, she is so friendly, passionate and knowledgeable and makes you feel like nothing is too much trouble. She really listens and gets to know you so that the sessions are truly meaningful for you and your pregnancy as an individual. My birth ended up in C-section but I used so much of what I learnt from Shelley in the time leading up to going into hospital resulting in feeling calm and relaxed going into my induction and used the techniques for the entirety of my Labour before my husband used them to keep me calm as we went for the section. It really is the best birth preparation. Thank you!

Shelley made us feel instantly at ease when she completed the sessions within our home. Her knowledge enabled us to feel prepared for the different ways birth could go and how we could feel in control if different situations were to arise. I had a low risk and straight forward pregnancy but at 39 weeks I was advised that I needed to urgently be induced due to unexpected complications. I wasn’t allowed anyone with me for the induction and early stages of labour as it was the middle of the night and outside of visiting hours. I strongly feel that without Shelley’s teaching, this would have been a very different experience for me and one which ordinarily I would have found very overwhelming.I felt empowered to ask questions and used the breathing techniques that were taught, knowing the science behind them also really helped. I used a comb to help with managing the contractions which made a huge difference and something I had not heard of before completing Shelley’s hypnobirthing course.Thank you again Shelley!Alice & Mark(First time parents)

I cannot recommend The Empowering Birth School highly enough!After a bit of a traumatic first birth I was looking to enter into my second one calmer and more prepared and Shelley more than delivered. She is extremely personable, knowledgeable and passionate about hypnobirthing. She taught me valuable techniques to relax and stay claim and ensured I was aware of all my options during labour which put me in control. Even outside the lessons she continued to send on any information or story's that would be useful to me and supported me fully. It was a highly enjoyable experience which resulted in a positive, empowered second birth, thank you Shelley! Xx

Shelley is a fantastic hypnobirthing teacher. Shelley's passion for the subject oozes from her and gets you all excited for birthing your bubba. I could not recommend her enough. I used the breathing techniques throughout my whole birthing process which helped me stay calm and in control and I know this was 100% due to Shelleys course. Im so glad we found Shelley at The Empowering Birth School.Prior to meeting Shelley I feared birth and was terribly nervous and scared.After just one session I felt excited, determined and empowered! Actually couldn't wait to go into labour.Unfortunately birth wasn't what I had hoped for in the end and resulted in an emergency C section where I was put to sleep.However, having that time with Shelley changed my mindset about how we look and deal with situations in life. So I can look back and still feel it was positive experience regardless.I got to experience natural labour and he was born safely, we are both well and healthy and therefore I'm so grateful and happy.Thanks again for all your help Shelley, you definitely changed my mindset after our sessionI went into labour excited, and determined rather than the nervous and fearful women I was prior.
