Hannah McMillan Dog Training & Behaviour

Hannah is an absolute hero, and has helped get us onto the right path in resolving some reactivity problems we’ve been having with our 1 year old. Hannah is hugely knowledgeable and approached our boys initial nervousness with understanding and consideration, ensuring we worked on new techniques at a steady pace that would not overwhelm him. They welcomed our questions and checked in with us in between sessions, which gave us mini milestones to work towards before we met up again in person.We can’t thank Hannah enough for the time they spent with us, we feel much more confident and reassured, and are already seeing improvements in our boys engagement and reactiveness to other dogs whilst on walks.

When I adopted an untrained unruly rescue dog, I posted a message in our local dog owners FB group asking for advice, recommendations etc in regards to training her. I got lots of replies, but Hannah’s stood out. She said there was no hurry to start training, let the dog settle in, plenty of time to do training later. She wasn’t trying to sell me her services. She cared about the dog. Six months later I hired Hannah, and Dog and I both benefited. The most helpful thing Hannah did was video parts of her training sessions with my dog. I could see exactly how she did what she did, and I could see how my dog responded to her and how she LEARNED. Yes, she learned and I saw it was possible to teach her to do more than sit. Our last session was with three of us and I was able to practice how I would carry on with what Hannah had started. I would recommend Hannah’s services without hesitation to anyone who wants a caring dog trainer and wants to see results.

Hannah is truly amazing, she really knows dogs and their behaviours and what they feel comfortable with, she has helped us through an extremely hard hurdle and arranged a management plan to suit my obie and our family. We were feeling slightly overwhelmed by all the advice and videos out there with dog training. What we wanted was someone who knew about dogs and their behaviour and could observe, listen and give us tailored advice on what to do with our pup and Hannah did just that. Hannah was also extremely supportive and we’d leave every training session positively and confidently, and knowing what homework we needed to do in order to continue and progress. Thank you Hannah!

Absolutely amazing! After 2 years of solid reactivity to cars and such a tough time with pulling on walks and fixating on anything that moves, I booked Hannah for a 3 day intensive course and it’s as if the root of the issues we struggled with for so long have disappeared! It’s set the perfect foundation for myself to carry on Hannah’s training and enjoy walks and further training with my dog! I never could have done it all myself and I’m forever grateful for the professional and friendly service that Hannah provided! 10/10 would recommend!

We can’t recommend Hannah enough. After reaching out for help with our reactive dachshund, Hannah was super friendly and taught us positive methods from the beginning, and has given us all the help and support we could ask for. I booked in with Hannah to help my 18 month old miniature schnauzer with his reactivity. She was really helpful, teaching me exactly what I needed to do and what tools I could try to do it.
