When owner prefers to sit texting rather than offer assistance..... however it does have a good stock of haberdashery. I'm afraid i walked out as i couldn't see the wool i was after.

Lovely knitting shop and friendly staff! The place is like a TARDIS. Sssooo much bigger on the inside and such a huge selection of lots of yarn brands. Definitely something for everyone. They also do haberdashery.

I really enjoyed my visit here. Excellent well stocked shop with a huge range of wool…prices and types to suit everyone’s needs…also have large quantities of patterns for knitting and crochet. Fabric also sold by the metre with various haberdashery products to accompany. Knowledgeable staff who were helpful and friendly. No parking outside shop so use public car park which is 10 minutes walk away. Disability access … however the shop is small so wheelchair might struggle. No toilets in shop. Dogs belonging to the owners are in the shop ..very well trained and behaved. I was impressed with the staff member who served me as what I wanted was out of stock but the lady immediately suggested she could order the wool and phone me when it arrived. Best described as a traditional shop with high level of customer service and staffed by people who actually appear to really enjoy their job and who want to serve you and help you. I understand there is a loyalty card scheme for regular customers and a “lay by” service for wool… highly recommend this shop

When I went everyone working there was so helpful and really made me feel comfortable they had all the colors of yarn you could imagine and also had a wide range of string as well they were really helpful showing me hooks and the wool was such good quality it was an amazing place and everything was really well priced I am definetly going back

Mandy Wools at Wells Knitting Centre
This has to be one of the most friendly and supportive knitting shops in the South West. Because it stocks such a huge range of yarns and knitting accessories, it's busy, so patience is needed at times to be served. But well worth the wait. Everyone has engaged in knitting projects I've been working on to helping with colour matching to actually learning knitting techniques on line and writing down how to do them for me. Superb service.

A hidden gem that is a must visit for any yarn crafter. A bit like a tardis, so many crafting delights in what appears to be a tiny space on first entering the shop. The range of products is extensive for example buttons in nearly every shape, size & colour. A little olde worlde but that gives Mandy Wools a quaint air. The staff are very helpful & friendly too. When I visit Wells I have to visit Mandy Wools.
