First but strange experience. Gorgeous place, welcome was a bit stale, no atmosphere, carvery was mediorce, had better. Last of meat, so dry and shrivelled. Chef decided he had enough and walked out waving his arms and raised voice. Not professional, should not be in front of customers, feeling of awkwardness. But the Team did pick up and carried on best they could. Disgraceful behaviour. Shame as lovely place. Not in the area for some time so wont be visiting any time soon.

Horrendous! If we could give this 0 stars we would. This place has no idea what it actually is. Tropical decor in half the 'restaurant', the other half looks like a British pub wannabe and a Spanish themed cd playing in the background.Staff had no idea what they were doing despite it being empty when we arrived. We all had carvery and it was revolting. To the point we played games as to who could find the most disgusting part of the meal. The entrance sign clearly states local produce-I never realised that the freezers from the local supermarket constituted as such!Raw stuffing balls that fell to powder as you ate them, no sign of seasoning in any of the different elements. I have the uttermost confidence that I could cook a better carvery with a t-light and no match! The only plus side is we left laughing as we generated different reviews for how awful this place is.Tip...stay home and have plain toast...it will be cheaper and add more flavour to your day!

My partner and I stayed here with our 8 month old baby for the weekend. The staff were lovely, welcoming and so helpful. The rooms are cosy and have everything you need. The area is beautiful and quiet and the pub has a nice atmosphere in the evening. The breakfast in the morning was delicious, as was the lunch time sandwiches! 100% recommend!

Warm winter atmosphere and food looked good, I was only there for a talk so just sampled the beer . . . It was busy but staff coped well. Could do with some solar lights as carpark is on a field.

Me and my partner went there for a Sunday roast, and we were very disappointed. The cauliflower cheese was very dry, and I couldn't even taste the cheese. The roast potatoes were very dry, the veg didn't taste of a lot, the tonges I grabbed was on the hot plate, and when I picked the up I burned the end of my finger and the palm of my hand , we are local so won't be recommending you

Came for a birthday meal with family and friends.Staff were brilliant, friendly, and attentive. We had 1 vegan with us, and they made sure everything was ok.Prices were really good, and the decor was phenominal. The location was perfect as we were camping nearby.Portions were amazing and the kids loved theor meals too.

Nice Sunday cavery at 5pm at night, still good choice of meats, great carrots. It was raining and the place was quiet, but a bit of a hidden gem for a quiet meal.

Lovely Sunday Roast. We went with a large group. Meat and vegetables were lovely . I had beef which was lovely and tender. Nice selection of vegetables with carrots, peas, cabbage, parsnips. The owner and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Lovely to see proper fire with seating area around it to chill out after a meal. Definitely be back soon.
