The enviroment is full of midges.Bathroom and Toilet are clearly unable to accommodate the number of guests.There's no fence on the upper bunk bed, with suspicion of falling off, couldn't sleep very well.

If you're on a tight budget, then this is your place. I'm rating this stay 4/5 primarily because it's the most affordable option out there, and while some things weren't perfect, you can't expect luxury from a 20-pound-a-night stay in a dormatry.Positives:- excellent location- excellent price- Funny and helpful host- Youthful environment with good vibesLess great:- As this place gets fully booked during summer, the kitchen, dining and lounge area will get very crowded and this can make cooking and eating food as a group quite difficult, although we found it manageable.Bad:We stayed in the 8/10 caravan and the beds simply were too small. I'm 6' foot 1 (or 185cm), which is taller than most brits but far from being an abnormal height and this bed was simply too short. If I laid out flat my feet and head were touching the walls simultaneously. This made my sleeping experience quite a bit worse and i can only imagine how bad it'd be if you were 190+cm).

Other reviewers need to read the official site before booking the caravan rooms they don't like. Our room was clean and well ventilated. There was one bathroom and shower shared between 8 beds on the second floor, but it worked out fine. Ruthie at the reception is the nicest receptionist I've met in any hostel I've been in. Overall great stay.

Being new to staying in hostels (only my second time), I was enchanted by this place. Our lovely host , Ruthie, was just as friendly and accommodating as she could be with lots of recommendations. The room was clean and cute with an excellent view, the kitchen was clean and well stocked with coffee/teas/milks, and the wee garden in the back was perfect for drinking said beverages in the morning. The Isle of Skye is gorgeous in June! Perfect for back packing and enjoying the sun and sea.

The staff was just so cute and helpfull. The vibe was very friendly with nice and thoughtful people who helped us to plan our next days. We thought to stay one night but stayed two in the end. They also have laundry service, in which you can give tham laundry iin the evening and for 10p they wash and dry it for you to the morning.

I give 5 stars because for Skye it really was a great solution. The price I paid for a family room (booked in January) was the lowest I spent on my Road Trip through Scotland....and this on SKYE.The rooms are ok, clean. The kitchen is very well equipped and there is a nice area to eat and have a chat with the other guests. Although this area could get very cramped at dinner. My children adored the common room. The toilets and bathrooms need an urgent update and there are definitely not enough facilities when the hostel is full. The host was very nice and helpful. Would absolutely be back!

It’s a beautiful spot. It was very clean. It’s very cheap. It’s not fancy so don’t expect that, but it’s quite homely and a good place to dry off after backpacking.

I should first start by saluting the lady who is running this place with utmost care and professionalism. The location is mind-blowing with the lake in front and lot of eateries around. If parking gets full inside the compound one can park on the road without a feeI had a shared room with 2 bunk beds accommodating 4 adults. The room was clean and the shared toilets were equally clean and hygienic. I slept peacefully and was ready for the next day for travelling the Scottish highlands.Tea and coffee are provided in the ground floor. I also saw folks marking their own meal and sharing with people who gets friendly. It was a great atmosphereThe rule of the house in the morning is to remove the bedsheets and the pillow and blanket covers and put it in the wash for cleaning. Amazing process to maintain hygiene. I am surely going to stay here once again

Really good place. Clean rooms, and cleanest hostel kitchen I've seen in a while. Lovely staff who are more than happy to be asked about things. Cute kitchen with good ideas for sightseeing.Right by bus station but if you want to self cater, it's worth stopping by a shop before the evening when you get there as the closest supermarket is 40mins away.Quite thin mattresses but not uncomfortably so, and for the price it's great. Showers are small but cleanOverall ++
