Since re-opening we've been back 3 times and have to say we won't be going back for a long time now. The first time I went back in with my food as it was lukewarm and soggy chips. I was offered my money back and an apology. Second time was fine. We travelled over tonight and have to say it was rubbish. My sons chips must of been what was left of old chips, soggy and hardly any gravy, my wife's fish goujons were cold and batter soggy as they had been moved in and out of the heater whilst he cleaned it. My chicken breast was way over done and dry as a bone and hardly any gravy. For £20 it was a waste of good money.In response to your comments and further to our phone conversation, why would I want to stand in a queue for another 20+mins whilst you made another 3 meals the whole idea is that it's served up to scratch the first time. Also I should of mentioned the fact that one of the meals was dished up way before we received the other 2 meals. The chicken wasn't just hot it was dry and stringy ,maybe before you comment you should actually try one for yourself. The fish goujons were not fresh as they had been sat in the counter since we arrived then moved from counter to counter hence why they were cold and soggy. My sons chips were soggy and falling apart and had obviouslybeen sat for a good while .As for the fact you say you were busy and frying all night we arrived at approx 5.40 .Hope this is a more detailed description for you. Drop the attitude.

Whenever we visit Clitheroe we make sure to treat ourselves to a Castle Chippy tea! Always get a warm welcome and the food has never let us down. I love the variety on the menu and the chips are never too greasy. Defo recommend!!

The fish and chips tasted great, exactly what I wanted. However, the portion size of the chips was much smaller than they have given me in the past when I've visited which was a bit of a let down. Hope this was a one off.

14/8/23. Tea time. Rarely purchase fish and chips when at home. It’s an away day luxury. Great welcome from two young women behind the counter.Engaged in conversation, entertaining, cheeky and witty.The fish was one of the best I have had, chips were very good.Gravy was really tasty.You have got a new customer.See you again.If you need a guinea pig for tattoos I am sure you will find a willing volounteer, somewhere…..

Fabulous chippy, always pay a visit when in the area. Love the variety and love the sweet chilli chicken and butter pies!!!Staff are always pleasant and seem to be working hard. 10/10 from me!!

Chips were fine, but the service was disrespectful. The person who served the food accidentally made a mistake with my order, which didn't bother me, but then she made a drama out of it, which made it look like it was my fault. I paid for the unwanted food to be gracious, but had to throw it out because of quality issues.

Best chippy in Clitheroe the staff are really pleasant and the food is brilliant I will recommend this to everyone and my family and friends too.

Visited England for 3 days to see a friend had to try fish and chips while I was here and got to say was very happy with both fish and chips that I had awesome!! Very expensive tho
