Thank you so much for giving the girls such a fantastic experience with their skydive. Very professional from beginning to end. The instructors kept the girls calm and made their skydive such an enjoyable experience. They raised money for Brain Tumour Research.

Trying to get hold of any body to get permission to land. We were planning a day trip from Cornwall.Called 28 times for 3 hours from 8:30. Most infuriating! the next day we called, the third time somebody picked up and said oh yes we are open all of yesterday". Obviously open but nobody capable of picking a phone up or responding to email

What a shambles of an airport run by incompetent fools. The only people who know what they are doing and have any common sense are the two flying schools who sadly don’t have much of a say in how the place is run. It would thrive with these in charge. Both flying schools are very helpful and knowledgeable which I can’t say for the airport staff employed by Swansea Airport Limited. It’s currently managed by people with no back bone who close it at the drop of a hat. The lease holder needs to be kicked out, knows nothing about aviation and can’t stand it.How on earth can you run a “business” yet don’t open on a Monday or Tuesday and also shut when they feel like it yet still take money off people for hangarage fees.

I love this place the breakfast there is perfectvthe beaches stretch for miles and have many entrance points right the way along with many car parks also. You can easily find a quiet spot to relax and enjoy the soft, hot sand and cool sea. One of our favorite beaches. Also has busier spots that have play areas for the children and cafes etc.

The flying club is excellent and everyone there is really really friendly as well as helpful. Issue is some of the facilities are rather lacking and unkempt. Main runway is shut down with no clear evidence of repair plans in place. And the other usable parts of the airport are in need of repairs. However, the experience that you will get flying over the gower is unparalleled. It is absolutely gorgeous and honestly, if some of the facilities were improved, it would be a very very lively place.

I've been here a few times with people who are about to skydive. The airport seems a bit run down but I suppose as long as the equipment and planes are okay what more do you need. The cafe was closed on this visit but there was a burgervan outside. The staff are friendly and great with the skydivers ready for their big leap

I’m a local resident, living just over a mile south of the airport, in Bishopston.During the weekend there is a constant flow of light aircraft, all of which fly low over this and other residential areas, with significant and prolonged noise pollution. This causes me two problems, firstly there seems to be a heightened risk to deliberately overflying densely populated areas. Swansea Air Show recognised this after the Shoreham disaster and only fly over the Sea. Is this not a generally recognised risk?Secondly, there is a lot of low population density farmland, and open countryside, not to mention the nearby proximity of the world renowned coastline. Why do the residents, like me, have to endure the noise? Imagine a constant wavering drone, that means you have to raise your voice or shout - that’s the issue.I’ve no desire to negatively impact on a local business, but I feel that with a little sensitive behavioural change from the airport, we could all cohabit a lot more happily - and I could change this to a five star review. What noise does to your bodySirens, barking dogs, soaring jets: A growing body of research suggests that chronic noise is an unrecognized health threat.Unpleasant noises are relayed to the stress detection center in your brain, and they can set off a cascade of reactions that, over time, can lead to inflammation, hypertension and plaque buildup in arteries — increasing the risk of heart problems and strokes. But how loud is too loud? Regular exposure to even a few decibels of noise above moderate levels — for example, from loud traffic, a noisy train or an aircraft passing overhead — can prompt harmful reactions.
