Friendly staff and fantastic that jekka does the masterclass. I learnt so much, plants were named and a disruption of use so helpful. Highly recommended if you looking for anything in particular and hard to buy plants. Definitely going back.

Attended the 2021 Herbfest at Jekka's and met the lady herself. Great event with interesting local heroes in the gardening, culinary and herbal worlds, and wonderful range and quality of herbs. Hugely recommended.

Interesting. I am not a gardener and went with my partner. It was good to see so many of the herbs I've heard of or use, to see the plant or shrub they come from. To rub the leaves and smell the scent. I'm very pleased I went and would recommend other not gardeners to visit.

Not as good as I'd hoped. To start with: ignore the Google opening times they are wrong, the farm is not open on a daily basis to go round & select plants. There are open days (which I couldn't get to) there is an online shop which you can then go to the farm & pick up from the gate. Service is good but 2 of the plants I bought were 1litre pots & I thought they were very small for the pot, I wouldn't have picked them by choice. The 2 litre plants were a better size. On reflection I would not necessarily go back unless I could make an open day, nothing is as good as picking your own plants. Sorry this is a bit negative.

We've just visited during one of Jekkas open days. It's a beautiful place to visit with very knowledgeable staff. Its great if you want new ideas for cooking, the range of herbs is huge with so many different flavours.Jekka also gave a talk to give hints on growing the herbs and how to use them. She also advises how some herbs aid digestion, relaxation and what can be used as a sugar replacement.Really intersting and worthwhile.

Loved it. Learnt a lot of interesting things about herbs whilst there. If we lived closer, I would probably visit more regularly or even apply for a job there, but I am a self-confessed plantaholic. The atmosphere was lovely and relaxed. The plants weren't cheap but they were value for money as they were all of a good size and exceptionally healthy looking. The selection was also very different from the bog standard but you would expect that as it is a specialist nursery. The staff were all cheerful and helpful. A really wonderful day out. Looking forward to making it a regular annual pilgrimage.

I have been looking for beautiful Portuguese lavender ever since I rode through the cork groves of its native country. The ones at Jekka's were stupendous. And with such a fantastic selection of luscious herbs I spent four times my budget... partly because it is so damn difficult to get to and so I wanted to make it worth the time it took to find it! But it was well worth persevering to get there. In fact other visitors had traveled from the other end of the country. I'd come because Jekka's Herbs have the best reputation, a title well deserved. Others were repeat visitors who just loved what she had to offer. That isn't just the range of herbs that you just won't find anywhere else, but also the most wonderful enthusiasm from Jekka herself. it was also lovely to linger longer in the cafe and enjoy the most delicious herb tea I have ever drunk and to browse the books and cards and see Jekka's daughter's highly skilled images of herbs.
