We were looking to buy a new car and having previously come across a number of indifferent salesmen in other locations with a lack of interest in offering us a new car, we happened to go into the David Hayton Autostore Lancaster and here we had a very different buying experience.This is where we met Phil Wright. He first approached us with a friendly smile and enquired as to what we were looking for. After finding out our requirements, he made some suggestions which fitted our needs.It was a couple of weeks later when we returned and once again we were greeted by Phil who remembered us and what we were looking for. He even came out in the rain!!! Phil was incredibly patient and very knowledgeable showing us a different selection of vehicle. He was honest, sorted out anything he didn't know and clearly enjoys a variety of cars himself. We wanted to look around and there was no pressure and I think he would have let us sit in every car they had in stock.Organising the test drive (we tried two cars) was no problem and Declan helped out here, again very helpful. Importantly we chose our own test route which was happily accommodated for.Want statistics, speak to Phil, want to simply look around with no pressure, speak to Phil, want someone to find a car which fits a specific criteria, speak to Phil. He has a lovely friendly approach and the opening hours and the fact that Phil was prepared to stay a little longer was a massive help for us, who work long hours.The actual purchase was so smooth and stressless with Phil dealing with all the necessary purchase paperwork and the car was well presented on the day complete with a full service, some extra remedial maintenance work and valet. Finally he went through the car with us until we were happy and a big thank you to Phil and the staff of David Hayton Lancaster who made the whole experience of buying a car pleasurable.Paul & Kim W

I highly recommend this company! Our first visit was a fact finding mission to see what make and model of car would be best. After initial introductions and asking if we were looking for anything specific, Adam left us to browse the wide selection of vehicles at our leisure. He gave us keys for a few cars that we were interested in and again, left us to look at our leisure. I really liked the fact they are a company who give you space to consider - no pushing you too buy. We found a car that we thought would be ideal and, after discussion with Adam about price, went away to consider. Again, there was no hard sell or pushiness. We went back the day after to make the purchase. Adam explained the process very clearly and have us options of pretty products available (Gap insurance, service plan) but again, there was no hard sell. We connected the car today and was very happy with how the transfer was done. A massive 'thank you' to Adam for giving us space to think but being easily available. I'd definitely go back for another car in the future.
