friendly people and staff - will take time to teach you how to play games. Clean and welcoming. Can go in and just play, no pressure to spend money.

Decent place to play, smaller table's cater prominently towards card and smaller board games. (No Modula dungeon tiles here) decent enough for a commercial chain

Geek Retreat Dudley is a lovely welcoming cafe and hobby store with a wonderful community. The food is excellent and well made; I would recommend the Green Martian milkshake featuring scoops of chocolate mint ice-cream. It contains excellent facilities for staying a long time and plenty of space and entertainment for children of all ages to enjoy whilst parents can recline on the sofas in peace for a bit. I have brought my son here for over a year and a half and enjoyed every week visiting.The staff are welcoming, friendly and happy to introduce children to different game systems with tutorial games and events.

Great coffee, great people.Went in a couple times now and each time has been really nice. It’s great to go in, have a coffee and end up chatting to another customer or one of the passionate staff members about the games we both love and I plan on going to one of the many events they plan. The community they have seemed to build in a short time is brilliant and I love going in and seeing so many people sitting and playing games. Lovely shop and super friendly place.

My experience was great overall. I would highly recommended this venue! The best, fun and most enjoyable place in Dudley maybe the west midlands!Milkshakes and food are spot on options for vegetarians and vegans (vegan shakes, vegan hot drinks, vegan burgers and even vegan hot dogs!)I enjoyed my evening playing board games ranging from old classics to newer ones! Joining in and learning on trading card games. One of my personal favourite activities is the arcade machines they have here mortal Kombat and street fighter classics.Raja and Ethan are the perfect new friendly owners, they have changed things up and made the experience fresh. They always look after me and my friends!

Visited this place today for the third time. It’s good if you don’t have other people doing what you want. If you do there’s zero point in going as it’s unfair to you. Shame there’s no rules about a certain time limits on something if someone is waiting. Would be something useful to implement.

Visited 2 weeks ago. Its great for kids and adults alike . My daughter really enjoyed herself. I got talking with the owner he was so lovely and said only recently taken over, so I'm looking forward to seeing whats to come. He told me they do crafts sessions also which is fab. I had a milkshake whilst there and a cake, really yummy. I will be returning x

First time here with my son and his dad today. We absolutely loved it. The staff are so warm and welcoming, the atmosphere is amazing overall. Very child friendly as well as adult friendly. I can't rate this place high enough. My son didn't want to leave, we will definitely be coming again and again!

Had some great fun here.Can't wait to start playing D&D more often.Friendly staff and plenty of space to play your own games.Nice choice of food for most dietary requirements.Atmosphere is really good on gaming days and nights.

My son and I visit the cafe twice a week to meet with friends. The atmosphere is lovely and relaxing. The staff are very friendly, helpful and accomodating. The space itself is very clean and there is a variety of board games, arcade games and consoles available for use.There is a wide range of food, drinks and snacks available at reasonable prices.I would highly recommend a visit!
