The Kitchen Depot Telford

From beginning to end, Kitchen Depot provided an excellent service. They were friendly and professional throughout. There was a good range of fittings and designs to choose from and experienced designers to help make the kitchen become real. The fitters were speedy and very efficient, making sure everything was perfect. They were very reliable too. Other tradespeople were suggested and all gave an excellent service. Any issues could be discussed before, during and after the kitchen fitting. I was very pleased with my complete new kitchen, and the follow up service was excellent too. I would recommend this company to anyone wanting a personal, friendly and efficient service.

Recently had a new kitchen from Kitchen Depot. Am absolutely delighted with it! From the superb design by Ollie , incorporating everything I wanted, to the great quality units, and then the professional and speedy fitting team led by Steve. Everything went to plan. I have just had a complete new kitchen from kitchen depot in Trench and it is perfect. Right from the start the service was amazing, Steve who did the design, Ollie who dealt with everything else, the brilliant fitters Steve Wilson and Joe, the plasterer and electrician. Everything went to plan, they worked very hard to produce my wonderful kitchen. I highly recommend this company and the people who work for them. Thank you all, it was a pleasure to have you in my home.

The team at The Kitchen Depot in Telford are fabulous. We went in with a reasonably good idea of what we wanted but didn't have the time to stay while they brought it to life on screen. No problem - the first design was with us via email the following day.We have since visited a couple of times to make (many) tweaks to the design, both times spending a couple of hours there. The length of the visits have been entirely down to us changing things. Both visits were thoroughly enjoyable and at no point did we feel rushed or that we were taking up too much time, their patience and attention to detail was in abundance.We have dealt predominantly with Ollie but we have had input from everyone. There is a definite feeling of teamwork with no hesitation to ask others for their help and/or ideas.I would highly recommend The Kitchen Depot.

All of these errors/complaints were raised with kitchen depot after fitting but as the fitters weren't employed by the KD, the fitters blamed the kitchen depot and the KD blamed the fitters so we got no where. I got to the point where i spoke to the guy who owns it via email and he agreed to visit within imo a very dismissive email, but i was so mentally drained and sick of the whole process i just gave up.I'd advise to use a supplier that does everything in house, we were lured in by 'family business' but seems thats the people at the top as noone we dealt with was related in anyway?The good price wasn't good after we added the fitters/sparky/plumber/plasterer and 8 tip runs!All kd seemed to actually do was design a kitchen (with the measurements slightly wrong) visit you to confirm measurements are correct (or slightly wrong) and send it all over on day one via the fitter to store in your garage (and then resend the bits they forgot/got wrong over the next few weeks).Firstly the fitters ripped out our old kitchen and dumped it all in a heap in our back garden along with any offcuts, wrapping etc. Apparently they don't dispose of waste.Regarding issues with the sinks and bins not working we were told it would be fed back to the supplier. Not heard back yet?I was too angry to write a wordy review before. Now i am just sick every time i look at it and think how much we spent. More than quoted elsewhere. I have removed the 2 star rating and changed it to 1 as our kitchen is now 2 years old. The edges of most shelves and doors are peeling off (see pic). We bought a porcelain solid mdf painted kitchen...? The door finish however is good and hard wearing.The sinks look beautiful but the tap broke within days (they replaced - see pic) and has broken again since, the plugs don't hold water so cannot leave anything to soak. I have to seal around the sinks every couple of months or they leak into the cupboard below (self sealing set into wood apparently). The drawer that broke and fell out 3 days after being installed still has an uneven gap around it and doesnt soft close (see pic). The carpenter told me not to put heavy items at the front (i had plates in it?). Bins can't be removed from the built in bin cupboard so i wrestle the bags out each week. The tall corner cupboard was made by cutting two pre made doors down so the featured cut outs aren't central (this is a big bug bare i just can't unsee!! - see pic) and the worktop originally stopped the doors opening so the solid wood top was sliced at an angle each side? The under cupboard plinth is missing from the utility area because they mis-measured how high the tap was (see pic), are the end panels supposed to seperate the fridge from cooker and wall (see pic), two empty cupboards were originally fitted as shelves with plastic plugs filling the door hinge holes (but replaced after we complained).It took weeks to install instead of 4 days because the wrong trims were sent then wrong shelves and door and wrong handles. The electrician plumber and plasterer were all seperately appointed by the installers but we had to pay them all seperately and we had to chase appointments and wait for them to become available (they did excellent jobs though)... we were also told to order the worktop ourselves as cheaper?? A gap between the plinth and cupboard showed light from under cupboard leds so i had to fill it (see pic), there was more but i wont bore you :( its a good looking kitchen until you look closely... and the tiles look great ...but i put them up myself!

Very nice selection of quality kitchens on display with free survey available. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable and I would recommend a visit.

On the plus side, the kitchens are very well made, plus they're made locally. Fitting was superb, by Steve (arranged by the Kitchen Depot). Staff are really friendly and helpful in the design phase and certainly know their stuff. They don't try to up-sell, which is a refreshing change. Instead, they take time to understand your needs and budget and work to that.On the negative side, they seem very disorganised in their admin and logistics (for example, one man delivering the whole kitchen, so I had to help unload) and their aftercare does leave a lot to be desired. A couple of faults (not Kitchen Depot's manufacturing, but to do with handles and tap), and it's still taking several phone calls, none of which are being returned. A follow-up call after fitting would have been a nice touch, too but it was not to be.The main thing is that their kitchens, however, beat a lot of the competition in terms of price and quality and we've been pleased overall. Just a shame the after-sales seems a lot of hot air, which is something that can be put right quite easily.If the after-sales and communication were as they should be, this would have been a five-star review.UPDATE: All issues resolved in the end and kitchen is perfect. Staff very apologetic and assured me of their attention in the future if anything else is amiss. Change rating from 3 to a 4 star. I would recommend the Kitchen Depot.
