Waited 45 minutes for starters and over an hour for the main, no point getting a dessert would’ve still been waiting for it at breakfast. Food wasn’t even warm and chips were soggy too. Can’t blame the waiters at all, they did their job with what they had available but just an awful experience all round. A nice family meal ruined with severe lack of staff and the time we had to wait for food when the restaurant wasn’t even half full. Don’t recommend here anymore it has completely fallen off. What a joke

Been here a few times as its nearby and convenient to visit. The food is nice, very typical pub sort of food, which I enjoy. Service is always very efficient and all the staff are happy to help. It even has a play area for the kids to burn off some extra energy which is great. Overall very much worth a visit for low cost tasty food.

I work away from home a lot so small luxuries like fresh cooked food not from a chain restaurant is always welcome at the end of the day and when staying at Premier Inn the restaurants attached usually offer this except on this occasion.Breakfast was fantastic and can’t be knocked, always a seat plenty of stock and a smile from the morning waitress. This all fails unfortunately in the evening when different members of management try to run the place and the chefs must be working with a limited a budget or food as whilst I was waiting I heard people complain about certain dishes served and my food, well you can see what I was served. Something was missing off the dish every night, presentation is also not top of the list either for premier inn guests choosing to have a meal in there room even though it is advertised at the premier inn. Food is wedged into an un recyclable container and the lid wedged down. Experience taught me to hunt out cutlery condiments and napkins otherwise the serving staff just disappeared.Whilst I understand this industry may be short staffed after the pandemic this then doesn’t allow for what looked like the manageress to sit with her friends whilst waiting times for main meals exceeded 45 minutes .I had high hopes for this restaurant being in such a prime location and next to a new (ish) premier inn.Part of this visit was to see if we could set up for an in company training centre with candidates staying at the Premier inn and eating every evening at the cook house but after seeing this past week we will need to reevaluate our options as we can’t have candidates waiting 45 minutes or food served below what is your breakfast standard.

Table was booked in October for a nice family pre Christmas meal.when we arrived we was told that we had cancelled our booking that morning but we hadn't cancelled. They found us a table, eventually. We was told that some of the food on the menu wasn't available.Food arrived after a very long wait and was warm.waited a long while for a drinks order. The place wasn't even full.We felt sorry for staff who were there but obviously they were under staffed.I can't honestly say that we won't be rushing back.

Very mediocre food.Smothered chicken.Waited 25 minutes for food from when I ordered and when it arrived the food was luke warm. The first mouthful of chicken tasted purely of charred chicken (as its chargrilled I believe) and didn't have much bbq sauce on. The garlic slice was only cooked one side and over done. Chips must of been sitting around as they weren't hot.Meal cost £10.95 even though its also in the 2 for £8.99 deal (yes I know I had only one meal but this is a bit cheeky to do).Due to food taking so long to arrive I had no time to speak to anyone at the time as I was on my lunch break and had 15 minutes to eat before returning to work ( so no time for dessert either)

Popped in the Potter Arms Pub for the first time in years and got a warm welcome. They sell two real ales Boombar and London Pride but only had Pride on which was nice.As I just walked in, there was no space to eat in the restaurant so I sat in the bar and looked to eat but decided against it, all looked a bit tired and the memu all you expect from lower end dining. There are few gaming machines lighting up the area, and big screen TV.There is parking, shared with the hotel next door but remember to resister your car or a fine will come your way. There is plenty of outside seating. One I will be returning too soon

I'd heard mixed reviews, but wanted to find out for myself what the food was like, especially as it now has new management. Our waitress was very funny and drinks arrived promptly. I have a severe allergy, and the manager came over to make sure I'd read the disclaimer and that my food was suitable. All of the food was piping hot, and my steak and gammon was cooked perfectly. I'm looking forward to trying the Sunday roast, with a view to Christmas Dinner. The new team have really made a difference and the Cookhouse feels more family friendly.*UPDATE* Tried out the buffet roast dinner. Thought it was really nice. Soft meats, nice roasties, creamy mash, stuffing balls, no shortage of gravy, great value for money!

Food was decent. My wife asked for a wine list but I guess they don't have one. Prices are reasonable. Parking around the back, lots of space
