Oakingham Belle
The atmosphere was nice but we were brought food that we hadn't ordered, more than once. There were a few options from the menu that were not available and we weren't told this at the start so had to change our choices. The meal I did have was a bit disappointing. The staff were great and did a good job of dealing with how busy it was. However there was an elderly server who was quite miserable with her interactions with us which soured the atmosphere a bit.

The Oakingham Belle is a new pub in Wokingham just off the A329M via London Road. The pub is vibrant and bright inside with a lovely relaxing feel. Lots of tables to choose from for your meal with a good selection of drinks including ales. The staff are friendly, polite and attentive. This is also a dog friendly pub for those with four legged friends. There are also televisions with the football or similar playing. On the day it was Sunday so I went for the mixed roast. This is a big meal and comes in at 1700 kcals! The Yorkshire pudding the best I have had and the pork crackling … oh yes. The meal was really good but the only slight let down was the beef which was just too chewy and hard to cut. I put this down to bad luck on the day. At the end I gave the waitress (?) some feedback and was reminded if I had said she could have got a replacement from the kitchen - one to remember, I simply wasn’t thinking. The food really was good though so I’m going back. Ale I had was Old Empress - perfect example of an ale and was spot on consistency wise. Recommended. Little gem.

Tonight, we attempted to dine at this restaurant, only to be met with frustration and disappointment. Despite visibly available tables, the restaurant's insistence on reservations made it impossible for us to get a seat. This rigid policy seems unnecessarily pretentious, adding unwanted complications to what should be a simple dining experience.In our busy lives, where every moment is scheduled for business and work, it's unreasonable to expect customers to plan ahead for something as basic as a meal. This was supposed to be a relaxing evening, not another item on our to-do list.Moreover, the staff's attitude added to our negative experience. They were unfriendly and seemed to lack proper training in customer service, which is unacceptable in the hospitality industry. A welcoming and professional staff is fundamental to a good dining experience, and this was sorely missing.It's disheartening to see a restaurant prioritize arbitrary rules over customer convenience and fail in basic hospitality. This experience has left a sour taste, and we've decided it will be our last visit to this establishment. There are plenty of other restaurants in Bracknell that are more accommodating and eager for our business.

Went in for the Coronation brunch and it was amazing, The service from Lauren was friendly, prompt and professional.The Chefs did an outstanding job! The Royal Breakfast was delicious and the Black pudding stack was the perfect level of crispy and fluffy with a tasty homemade peppercorn sauce. We saw one of the chefs bringing out fresh cupcakes for charity and thought that was a lovely touch.Perfect start to the day ☺️

Our visit was great. The place itself was very clean looking. It was warm and very welcoming. The staff were very attentive and polite. The food was lovely and enough was served on your plate. The menu had a wide selection. You didn’t have to wait along time for your meal to arrive either. We will be definitely visiting again. Thank you for a lovely evening xx

I'm staying at St Anne's Manor across the street, so it's location is very convenient. I have gone there six times this stay. Five times I would say it's been excellent. This time service was horrible. For the Sunday roast, they didn't have pork nor did they have the cauliflower. It was only 4:00 p.m. I was informed after I ordered it and when they informed me they didn't even have a menu. I had made a reservation so I thought it wouldn't be an issue.Service this time was bad even though they weren't crowded. The other times, service would have been between 4 to 5 stars (different servers). The food was good but not what I wanted. Service was one star and seeing servers just moping around when people were trying to get their attention was a turn off. I tried to ask for horseradish sauce, which was supposed to come with the beef, but I couldn't get anybody's attention so I gave up. Averaging the service stars for the 6 times I've gone there: 2 stars. Before today it would have been between 4 and 5 stars. That's how disappointed I was. If you look at my other reviews, I've hardly ever given a bad review.

I’ve had two meals recently here with friends at lunchtime. Both times the food and drink has been very good but the service has been lacking.Visit a month ago at lunchtime and sat waiting for over 15 minutes before drink order taken and that was then forgotten after we ordered the food as well. There was no service after the food arrived so we had to go and order more drinks ourselves at bar and eventually ask at the bar for the bill.Second visit this week and drinks order taken but had to wave someone down to try and order food as we’d been waiting a long time and after the food arrived there was no service as to how the food was and had to go up again and get water from the bar.Staff are very friendly when you get their attention but they seem understaffed a lot of the time and the management need to hire a few more people so each area has a designated waiting person.

We walked in for a roast, unfortunately they were out of what we wanted so we got something else but the food was still good. Think being out just shows how good and in demand the food is. Service was great. Big shoutout to Lucas he was lovely, attentive and had a laugh with us

It was really busy when we got there so we thought we may have a wait for our food. However, we were surprised when the food came fairly quickly. Everyone enjoyed their meals but my burger was a bit overcooked which made it dry. The deserts were good and also came quickly, however once the table was cleared, we were left for over an hour with no one asking if we wanted more drinks or the bill. We had to finally go and find someone to pay the bill. The place was pretty empty by then so we thought it was strange that we were left for so long at the end.
