AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP AT ALL COSTS.Car purchased was a Vauxhall Astra GTC, immediately I had to get the breaks replaced.Following faults over 12 months of having the vehicle:Turbo collapsed (needed new turbo and manifold)New headlight (headlight was faulty)New clutchOil pipe feed was from a different vehicle (Ford)New breaks, (they must have oiled them as almost immediately the breaks were finished)Coolant tank and subsequent issuesCost of repairs on a £4000 vehicle so far = £2000+Please avoid this delearship and go elsewhere for you're car, otherwise you'll end up in a dangerous situation!

Purchased a car from here in May. Somehow ‘passed’ the MOT they did before they sold it. However it’s been nothing but hassle since. There has been problem after problem and I’ve spent so much money fixing issues that should have been sorted well before selling! Avoid this garage at all costs! Dodgy dealers for sure!!

Initially the garage seemed to be responsive and helpful. This all changed when things started going wrong with my car. My garage carried out a repair which RBCars approved they then took weeks and weeks to pay them. Other issues started to develop with my car, their response was rude and then they gave up relying at all. I made them aware I was happy to only communicate via email as I no longer trusted them to do what they said they would. I ended up breaking down on my way to work and was then without a vehicle for weeks as they had taken months to approve a repair for my car. Terrible service! Avoid at all costs.

Polite and helpful and was able to purchase rapidly. Shortly after purchase, electric window broke. Got it sorted and garage paid. Would buy from here again.

Just traded my Focus in for an X-Trail. Very friendly, not pushy in anyway at all. Gave us as much time to view, and test drive even without making an appointment. Can't fault them. Great warranty package provided too, for less than full price. Highly recommended.

Only giving 1 star as impossible to give zero!Bought a car in good faith 31/12/22 with a 6month warranty . I had initial problems - leaking oil (oil cap left off at service), battery constantly failing so needed jump starting and frayed / ripped driver seat belt and faulty back seat belts …RB fixed these initial issues . I have no clue how Birdwood Garage passed this vehicle with a clean MOT. However when the car developed serious engine issue well within the 6month warranty RB were less than helpful. Ignored me then claimed they fixed issue then said it’s been over six months ! The head gasket went and 3 local garages told me it needed new engine. RB Cars denied this and did some bodge job and the car broke down again after one journey late at night with my young child with me …. They didn’t care. They ignored my letters and emails until my parents visited them . In the end I applied to small claims court to get back my money and incurred costs … RB Cars asked for phone mediation then failed to attend. A week before court date they emailed and bought the car back off me ! Purely to avoid court and losing - then having to pay mr more. I’ve spoke to 7 local car buyers who have had terrible experiences here too. AVOID at all costs.

I was awaiting to leave a review after the car I purchased needed some repairs due to a light unit blowing which they would not have been aware of as rain caused the issue to emerge. From point of sale very professional and a genuine bloke who owns the place who is assisted by a group of also very professional and polite men. Even when having issues his older son was very sympathetic on the phone and again professional. As I work in the motor trade I understand a USED car may have some issues that develop over the time the car has been sat waiting to be sold. During the repairs they kept me mobile and had good communication and most importantly they let you talk and listen before providing their professional thoughts or advice. Would recommend these guys for an affordable car with good service.

Keep away! After purchasing a car from RB, 2 days later I asked my local garage to check it over, they told it was unsafe to drive and should not have passed the mot. I asked for a full refund/return from R B car sales which I am entitled to under the 'Consumer rights act 2015', RB cars wouldn't accept this law exists! I finally recovered my money back through my credit card provider. ALWAYS pay for a card via a credit card in case you come across this problem with another garage.What consoles me a little is that this negative review will probably cost RB sales at least £300 - which is what he denied me in resolving my initial complaint.
