Carreglwyd Estate

Written after my inspiring visit to Tonnau Festival @ Carreglwyd Estate last weekend .“The beauty was not only present in that artistic tent of bizarre colors of music, and not only in these profound eyes that in the night shone with bullerengue dreams, and not only in the stunning smile of this moment caught in my photographic iPhone lens.The beauty also wrapped us in the circle that throbbed within our soul and transcended the ancestral feeling of our culture.Beauty also existed in the wonderful power of the alegre and llamador. The callers of dancing polleras and colorful turbans that hastily synced that feeling before going on this Carreglwyd stage.Today's adventure in these distant lands that once, Celts, Romans and Vikings would tread with their stories of struggle. But today they were stepped on barefoot by Akolá Tambó and the Colombian bullerengue that with its perfect imperfection of eager Afro-Colombian moments of joy filled many hearts with love. “ Thank you Tonnau festival & Carreglwyd for such a warm welcome. #Carpe Diem

Idyllic location for a festival. Came here for Gottwood and couldn’t fault it. The lake is gorgeous and the camping grounds were close enough to the main site. Driving there was also easy.

Do a lot of work here on festivals and events and it is such a beautiful site, very well maintained and a gorgeous, out of the way space for events. People are really friendly, nice and helpful too! Definitely recommend.

Beautiful land. Beautiful space. Great for a quiet escape... Unless if course you head down when they hold the Gottwood Music Festival.You can hire a private cottage with all amenities and enjoy sheep roaming around and short walks to the ocean. Definitely worth a visit indeed.

Only been here for Gotwood . Would love to have a proper look round . Looks magical

Venue and location are nice however the access is atrocious. The single road (if you can call it a road) is just a dirt track that is only really driveable in a 4x4. As the venue is 0.5 miles away from the main road, this makes getting on and off the estate very difficult. We left our car at the front gate and had to hitch a ride, as the road would have really damaged my vehicle if I tried to drive down. This obviously was worrying as we had no means of getting back later on that evening.
