Outstanding service.We have engaged Pargetters for the funerals of a number of close family members over recent years.We have been consistently impressed with the professional service provided which reflects an independent family run business and is seldom found in current times.We found the service provided to be traditional, ‘solid’ reflecting generations of experience in the profession and sensitive within clearly defined professional boundaries.Would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this company.

Check out alternatives - Handle the burial well, however their company Smith's stone masons is a compete mess, brings down their great reputation.Is in the middle of a melt down, serious staff problems, moved the business of engraving to another stone mason's.

Absolutely appalling customer service and the experience we had with our mothers funeral was traumatic because the standard at Pagetters was shocking. Terrible customer service, low housekeeping standards and 100% frustrating experience throughout.The chapel was not hoovered before viewing, no tissues in the viewing room and coffin on basic A frames. The family car had used tissues on the floor and the car trim was bulging away from the seats At my mums funeral the director asked where the flowers were going as he had no idea where my mums internment was so we had to instruct a home deliver as i was walking into the wake.the most disgusting thing was a huge ugly screw thoughtlessly drilled into coffin lid which split the decorative trim, i was appalled!!We spoke to management and they disputed all our comments and didn't acknowledge any feedback we made. This funeral was pre paid and we feel this meant service could be abysmal as they already had our dead mothers cash!!Avoid at all costs I will never advise anyone to use these as a funeral service we are still saddened from the memories of last years experience.

Pargetter & son need to smarten up. I have never seen so many scruffy pall- bearers in my life. The building inside is out of Charles Dickens era. My parents paid for their funeral many years ago and father had a great funeral as he died soon after. My mother many years later was given the cheapest of everything. A lesson do not pay in advance for as funeral here as you won't get what you paid for in years to come. Give me the Co-op any day.

As a family, we have used Pargetters on many occasions over the years. They have always provided a caring, considerate and highly professional service. I would not consider using anyone else.

Avoid! I wish I could give this company zero stars. Having to deal with Mr Pargetter was one of the worst experiences of my life. Reminiscent of some sort of Dickensian villain, the man is rude, insensitive, dishonest and grossly unprofessional. I was appalled with the way I was spoken to during phone conversations and shocked by Mr Pargetter's unprofessional manner in general. I had to fight at every stage to have my Father's funeral the way my family wanted it, I felt bullied & ridiculed by Pargetter and deeply uncomfortable throughout the whole process which only added to the pain of my grief. Also we accidentally overpaid for the funeral services and after explaining the mistake and politely requesting the overpayment back Pargetter refused. Eventually after many many months of emails and calls and help from Citizens Advice (which was extremely stressful when I was grieving for my late Father) he claimed he had sent the money back, that he had sent a cheque, 3 times and all 3 been lost in the post. Also claimed to have had phone conversations that never happened. He lied continuously, I can only assume in an attempt to keep the money we overpaid, and avoided my calls for months. He only refunded my money when I sent him an official legal letter with help from Citizens Advice making it very clear I would take him to court imminently. The missing money was miraculously in my account within the hour. Avoid this company and this odious man at all costs.

Very long established Coventry firm that is still family run. We have used them for all our family funerals, most recently Mums. They have been extremely helpful & highly professional. Would recommend them.
