To see the whole of Derwent Water this trip around the lake cannot be beaten. As at 2023 its £13.50. beautiful boats and friendly staff.

Tremendous service. Turned up with some fishing gear and enquired about a motor boat but was informed that they were not suitable which is understandable. It was suggested that I take out a rowing boat which I did for two hours. The staff told me where to fish and the best tactics to use. Went to the general area I was pointed to and fished for two hours only to realise that there was no way I was going to stop so I called the boat yard and asked if I could stay out longer and I'll pay the balance when I get back which they agreed to. Overall a lovely day on the lake with some good fishing advice and very accommodating when I called them.

We really enjoyed our trip round the lake - 2 adults and 2 kids (age 8 and 2). Fantastic way to explore the lake and see the amazing scenery. One downside was how busy it was, admittedly in holiday season, but they really cram people onto the boats at each stop and in the heat it got a bit uncomfortable rather than a relaxing journey.

This is the boat service in Derwant water lake. Good way to witness the scenery being on the lake. There are about 6 piers around the lake. Round trip costs 13 pounds pp. can pay based on number of stops but if hopping on and off more than twice, round trip ticket is cheaper.Be mindful that there are boats operating both clockwise and anti clockwise. So based on your destination get on to right boat. No clear notice available.Can buy tickets on the boat as well. But ask them the direction if not sure. Boats operate every half an hour but direction changes. So for one direction boats operate hourly.

An excellent 50 minute round trip of Derwent Water by Keswick Launch. What a brilliant way of exploring this beautiful area, with opportunities to hop on and off throughout the day, if you fancy, at the various jetties. Autumn colours were beautiful.

Even on a windy choppy day, it was warm in the cabin and the boat cut smoothly through the water. The sun lit up the hills and around and there was still some snow on the hilltops. Around an hour trip for £12.50 and you can hop on and off at any of the 5 or so stopping points and jump on the next launch. Enjoyed it.

Great experience taking the boats. It was £13.50 for a round ticket and you get to go all around the Lake all day long. Get off wherever you want and explore. I’d highly recommend. The staff were ret helpful and friendly. They made the experience really lovely. Great day out.

We hired a small boat for 1/2 hour to sail on Derwentwater. £29 for 2 people. Given life jackets, a quick how to drive , route to take and we were off!! You go around second island in middle of lake and return but if you hired for an hour would have done the whole lake. A little precarious getting on and off as the staff don't help you but just keep boat still (with his foot!). Very enjoyable
