Vincent’s Solicitors were fantastic in helping me sell and buy my house. Jemma, Felicity and Sally made the whole process so much simpler than I could have hoped for. I was selling a leasehold apartment which in itself causes lots of issues as this involves all the usual selling hurdles and managing contact with the property management company. My property management company were not the easiest to liaise with. There were time critical points that needed to be addressed and again the team were always contactable and kept me updated. When the final completion and exchange dates were nearing, they were fantastic at reassuring me and I certainly trusted and valued their expertise. This is daily business for them and it shows. Ultra disappointing - wasted my time on pursuing to be appointed before writing to say that they are not doing any more off plan conveyancing; why provide a quotation for work you cannot do!RESPONSE TO THE REPLY FROM JULIE BELOW:I first spoke to your office on Friday 4th to request a quote for an off-plan purchase of a new build. I reiterated many times during the call that the building was a new build under final phase construction. I then called back again on Friday late afternoon requesting that you also confirm if you have acted for others at this new building as it is not due for completion until next year. I then had the same conversation on the morning of the 7th with James regarding the same matters and note that both he and your firm on Saturday, via online acceptance, were ready to accept the instruction. I then asked for confirmation of a few things before proceeding after which I received the response the following day that you are not undertaking off-plan purchases. I would expect your team to know this basic restriction at the outset.The disappointment is that your original quotation is titled “new build” clearly acknowledging your awareness of my request and I called you on Friday after receipt to reconfirm whether you were acting for others at this property. In addition, I refused other firms as the conversation with your team was pleasant. The wasted time, however limited in your opinion, is relevant and important as it erodes the time to complete which, I am sure many buyers will understand. In any case, I have found another and wish your firm well with this learning. Thank you for responding.
