This requires a walk along a track and across fields, terrain may not be suitable if unsteady / infirm. Also it can be boggy, so wear appropriate footwear. Old temple building with information available on site, also site of other archeological finds. There have been digs here in the past

The views from here and phenomenal - about 35 minute walk from the end of the road (please park sensibly) you can walk across the cliff tops or take the track through the fields. Brilliant local history and a good vantage point.

Had a nice walk along the beach on the way to the temple. The temple is interesting. There is a sign describing its background next to it.

Well worth the walk along to the Temple. Spotted Eagles along the way too. remember to drop in at the Temple Cafe for a great coffee and some of their delicious pastries. Best location on planet Earth for de stressing and unwinding. Beautiful.

Maybe early November isn't the time for visiting. The place came highly recommended by a few folk in Stornoway when we mentioned that we were heading to South Harris. It was fine. Not bad. The only savoury choice was a (cold) sausage roll. Very tasty but we'd have liked options. Same with the traybakes. three choice but we'd have liked more. What we had was tasty enough and the coffee was good. Perhaps it's a bit busier and better stocked in Summer months and best visited then

Excellent coffee and cake, very popular but they were slick and we didn’t wait too long. Also picked up provisions for the cottage we’re staying at. A great stop off after (or before) a beach walk. The lady taking orders was an absolute delight. Dog friendly.
