Stuart has been so helpful - he and his team are clearly passionate and knowledgeable about what they do as well as being extremely supportive. Great online services and the availability to have face to face appointments quickly too if preferred. I would highly recommend the counsellors and psychologists here to anyone having trouble with their mood or anxiety or past experiences - or whatever they might need support with. The benefits are invaluable - well worth talking to the team to see how they can help with whatever is needed. Can’t stress this enough if you are reading this there is a gods chance they can help - so call them now!

Stuart helped me find a way of making my life meaningful again after I had gone through a period of intense anger, grief and anxiety. It is several months since my last appointment, the writing of this review having been put on hold due to having undergone a major operation shortly after the psychotherapy sessions ended. During my period of recovery from my operation, I have continued to put much of what I learned from Stuart into practice, most importantly, focusing on my values and maintaining a daily routine. I have found this invaluable, particularly as life has continued to present me with massive challenges. I feel now that I have a set of tools with which to navigate the fallout from even the most difficult occurrences. I will always be grateful to Stuart for the part he has played in my recovery and would recommend him wholeheartedly as a psychologist.

I went to see a counsellor here for some difficulties I was having, and was surprised how helpful it was! The person I saw was very compassionate and caring, and helped me with my difficulties way beyond any other counsellor I'd seen before. The person I spoke to when I emailed also took the time to make sure I was seen by the right person before I booked in. Great service and amazing therapists working in a field where it's needed. (I also met Stuart (the psychologist who owns the business) in the waiting area and he genuinely seems to care that people get the best service they can).

To be clear, the Doctor I was assigned to was an extremely lovely person and I came away from the sessions with a sense of catharsis and fulfilment. However, I feel this should be the bare minimum you would expect from private councelling. If this was a public/NHS service I would not be leaving such a negative review. My issue;I had three sessions booked over Zoom at £100 per 50 mins. The first session was good and without issue. However, on the day of the second session I got a text asking if we could rearrange the appointment by 30 mins. Under different circumstances I would not consider this to be a problem, but at such a high cost I was surprised. When I joined the Zoom appointment it was made clear to me that my Doctor was on holiday abroad in a holiday home. Half way through the session a friend/family member could be heard in the room off camera. As you might imagine I stopped talking about my personal circumstances when it became clear we were not alone. To be frank I was shocked at the lack of privacy, especially considering the context.Despite my shock I was willing to give the Doctor the benefit of the doubt and arranged a third session, but on the day of the appointment I got another text asking to rearrange by 30 mins. This time I just cancelled and asked for my money back. The Doctor obliged and returned my money very quickly.I hate leaving negative reviews but I've chosen to do it here for two reasons. Firstly, because all the Google reviews are positive and I just wanted to give a fair representation that not all experiences with Newcastle Psychologist & Counselling are wholly positive. Secondly, £100 per 50 mins (£2 per min) is very expensive for someone like me. I have never spent so much money on a service with such a high cost per minute.I feel that if you spent £100 on a haircut, for example, you would be seen at the time you booked everytime. To be blunt, think of it like this; I was expecting the Ritz but ended up at a Holiday Inn. Good, but not worth the price.I need help. It was a big deal for me to seek help. I intend to seek help elsewhere.UPDATE: I was contacted by the Lead Clinician (Dr Sadler) and he refunded both sessions, which I greatly appreciate.

I had a block of session's with Stuart a few months ago to help with some anxieties I was experiencing. Stuart is amazing at what he does. He is very professional and his sessions have benefitted me greatly. No problem you have is too big or too small. The sessions were judgement free and his methods were broken down so that I could understand clearly. I saw Stuart in person before lockdown and also on video calls since then. I found that both ways were equally as effective in helping me. For anyone who needs help, Stuart is who you should see. I have saw other therapists before and he's the top one. If you are considering using video calls as a means, I fully recommend that you do it as i thought it would feel different and might not be as effective but it was great. I feel alot better about anything I needed help with and I have had long term changes as a result of his sessions.

Stuart is one of the best psychologists in Newcastle who deals with CBT, anxiety and depression. He also has some excellent counsellors in Newcastle and I feel very confident referring clients to Stuart and his team. Highly recommend.

I saw Stuart online when I was going through a period of stress and grief. I found him to be incredibly helpful, with a deep understanding of the problems I was dealing with and an obvious depth of experience as a psychologist. I’d recommend anyone going through any difficulties should get in touch with Stuart and his team.

Stuart is a very knowledgeable and professional councillor. I found his approach highly effective and time efficient. He will give you the knowledge and skills necessary to deal with your struggles self sufficiently using a logical, yet still warm and empathetic approach. From our first meeting I had a huge amount of faith in him and trusted his judgement and experience. Whilst his sessions are not easy, and often require a lot of energy he will ensure that if you are motivated you will improve. Could not recommend more highly. Plus, I have been told that he is very handy at snooker.

Stuart is a brilliant psychologist with a wealth of knowledge and experience. He is both professional and personable. He is committed to increasing his skills as a psychologist to provide the best service possible. His particular expertise in CBT-I and the way he supports clients all over the country who suffer from sleep problems is excellent.
