Had to return the car after 10days. Absolutely gutted as I was made up and thought I got a real bargain and stumbled across a hidden gem for car sales. Even concidered selling my other car and investing further with this company.They did however offer a full refund which came back quickly.

How used car buying should be. I’d held off leaving this review and I’m glad I did. First off, when I went to view the vehicle the 2x gentleman working were friendly and welcoming. I was offered the key to the car and as much time as I needed to do all the inspection I wanted. No pressure. Decided to purchase the vehicle and could have taken away there and then but I had to leave it to get transport back, no bother. There is no fancy showroom here, it’s a car park with an office in shared building. However, because of that the price of the vehicle was a lot less than others. So if you don’t need a fancy showroom and the amenities that come with it then save yourself some considerable money!A month into ownership, I had a problem with the cars engine. Something had seized. I messaged the owner and had a call back within 20 minutes confirming they’d look into this and get sorted. Had the vehicle recovered to their chosen mechanics, that evening had a message to confirm what the problem was and that it would be sorted. Following day, it was ready to go. Collected the vehicle back working as it should with no expense to myself and warranty honoured. All very very hassle free. I am delighted with the service from Arlington Car Sales and can recommend.

I found the staff, that is to say the two I came into contact with, one of whom, Mohammed , who I believe to be the owner, professional and pleasant to deal with. I was given all the opportunity to look over the particular car I was interested in and there was no pressure to buy. A deal was done and we parted as friends.

SFM: Terrible experience, do not use. Mx5 previously had MOT fail mentioning extensive corrosion and corrosion effecting structural areas. It now had a completely clean MOT certificate. Took a mechanic/MOT tester mate with us to look at the car. Met in multi story car park, alarm bells, the looked under car and the corrosion as mentioned on the MOT fail was all still there, but covered in under seal, black sealant type stuff. Mechanic immediately said no way, and told salesman to look, salesman didn’t seem interested. Mechanic told salesman he thought MOT was false and he could get in a lot of trouble. Salesman didn’t care, said it had been done, so mechanic invited him to put his head under car, salesman didn’t. We left having dodged a bullet. Would not touch with a barge pole, if they have falsified one MOT, they probably do it all the time. If you are planning on buying from Arlington Cars, take a trusted mechanic with you.OWNER: Response from the owner an hour agoNot sure how you could have inspected the underneath of the vehicle whilst on the road considering how low it is . We have spoken to the mot tester and the garage that carried out the welding , both garages have invited you to come inspect the car properly whilst on a ramp and they can go through with you and show you the work carried out and how it’s has not been just under sealed and explain the process of welding to youThanksSFM: I don’t need to know about welding, you do. I took an MOT tester / mechanic with me as you know, because he asked you to come over a look under the car, specifically along the cill and wheel arch, as you know. You refused. He had a torch and a mechanics knowledge, you had excuses and refused to look, nor could you explain why the MOT was now completely clear. Even if your MOT tester had partially welded and fixed the worst of the corrosion, which according my MOT tester, had not been done, an MOT tester is bound, under MOT testing rules, to mention partial repairs, and leave the rest on as an advisory. The MOT certificate said nothing about corrosion at all, yet my MOT tester could pull chunks of corrosion off with his bear hands, around the area of most concern, the structural area around the front suspension strut, and under the cill. You went from an MX5 with a failed MOT, to a MX5 with no faults or advisories, yet the corrosion was still there. Not me, a MOT tester said that the new MOT was fake. You know my review is accurate, and I stand by my review and the advice I gave. If you go to Arlington Car Sales, take a qualified/trusted mechanic with you, and do not trust the MOT certificate, check the car for yourself. No real issues. Friendly and eager to make the sale, but wasn't really able to address an issue I had with the car. Just tried to fob it off. Didn't buy, so cannot really comment on whole end to end process.

I purchased a Toyota RAV4 from here that broke down the same day. However I really can't give them any less stars due to how they handled the situation, they helped me with costs to get the vehicle to their mechanic. Unfortunately it couldn't be fixed and I was refunded my money very quickly.It's the stressful world of used cars unfortunately you never know when something will happen. But Arlington Car Sales handled the situation brilliantly and if the car never broke down they'd get 5 stars.

I've bought two cars from Arlington Car Sales because they are good honest people to deal with. No pressure at all. They give you the keys, as much time as you like, and a test drive.Buy a second car from here!

Met up with Majid, he stayed late on a Saturday to help me out, he was very clear about the car I was buying so far as to tell me about some issues I hadn't noticed.Have taken the car to my mechanic and he has confirmed it's an amazing specimen! Cannot fault this company on any level! Brilliant experience from customer service to the quality of the car.
