It was a smooth, stress free process and when we got the keys were given a personalized card congratulating us on moving into our new home. This was a lovely touch which no other estate agent has ever taken the time to do before. It's easy to recommend an estate agent when the house market is favourable and one's house sells quickly. But what about when the economic situation makes buying and selling more difficult? 2022 was such a year. House prices rose quickly, interest rates rose and so did energy prices and inflation. It was difficult for many people to afford to move house. For me, after 6 months on the market with Cornerstone my house hadn't sold. During this time I lost a buyer when they pulled out after 10 weeks. So why did I stay with Cornerstone? It can be easy to blame the estate agents when a house doesn't sell. Other estate agents send out letters encouraging you to switch to them, implying they would do a better job. Here are my reasons for remaining faithful to Cornerstone.1) I knew the market situation was difficult.2) I trusted the ability and professionalism of the staff.3)My first impressions of them were very positive.
