We went for Sunday diner with friends. I was quite supprised that it wasn't very busy on the restaurant. Food was ok. We asked the young girl a couple of questions and she didn't know the answer we asked her to find out but she seemed quite reluctant too. When I paid she just told me how much it was, I askef for a copy of the bill but paid it without looking. I had been charged for a bottle of wine instead of a glass. Don't think we will be going back again.

It was the first time we'd been to the Sportsman since it reopened and we were not disappointed. We received a very warm welcome by the 2 ladies who were running the bar/food. They were friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. It was my birthday and they put a candle in my baguette, such a caring little touch. The food was also amazing and well worth the money.We will definitely be going back.

We had a lovely and well presented tasty meal and pudding todayThe welcome is as warm as the fire that was lit today on a very chilly and gloomy June 1st. Our two whippets appreciated a snooze by the fire too. We strongly recommend.

Very nice, local village pub. The special (beef and Guinness pie) and menu offerings (lasagna, shown) were delicious. Great local brews on draft and various drink options. Highly recommend if in the area. We'll be back.
